kollision
I live in Los Angeles and have yet to find a place that recycles #5 (Polypropylene) and steel amongst other items (besides the normal plastic soda bottles, glass, aluminum, etc.). I want to know if there is a place that I can send my materials through the mail and they will take care of the shipping. I don't need the money back, but I want to get these items out of my house so I don't have to throw them away. Heres a site that tells what #5 is:http://ladpw.org/epd/recycling/crm.cfm
CrispyQ
We have some of the best recycling in Boulder county! Most garbage collection companies offer curb side recycling which is sooooooo nice! There are other facilities that take hard-to-recycle items, including the #5 plastic, styrofoam (always offered after Christmas!), hazardous wastes, building materials, all sorts of amazing things. However, the consumer has to drop these items off at the facility & being not-for-profit I'm certain they will not pay shipping. If you have any sort of recycling center near you, call & ask if they can recommend a place that will take #5. It's great that so many more containers are recyclable, but it is really only recyclable if you have a place to drop it off.

I am glad as well that more stuff are having more recyclable items. The #5 is pretty hard to find as well as steel. I read that steel is one of the most recycled yet a lot of the recycling centers here don't accept it. Only steel I have are aerosol cans.
CollegeB
Kalani I dont think anyone will recycle those cans. I have heard of styrofoam recycling, but have never seen it available.
kollision
Kalani I dont think anyone will recycle those cans. I have heard of styrofoam recycling, but have never seen it available. They do. Theres a place in California that does it but it's a couple miles (over 20 I think) and I can't just go there all the time just to recycle because of Gas costs and such. It's a Ralphs but I think it's the only one compared to the ones around here that take the #5 and steel. The rest are just cans and bottles. Kathryn
Even if you could find a place, I doubt they would pay the shipping costs. Have you looked online?
kollision
Yup, havent found any so far. I remember doing a project in High School where we recycled Ink Cartridges and they paid for shipping. I found one that does it and gives the money to dog funds, but that's the closest I have found to prepaid labels.
SusanBones
When I was looking for help in writing an essay, I came across the fact that there are a lot of sites offering help. On the one hand, this is good - there is an opportunity to choose, on the other hand, you get lost in a large amount of information, so the review site https://www.topwritersreview.com/reviews/eliteessaywriters/ is what helped me decide on the choice of reliable essay writers. The review site guarantees the provision of an independent assessment of each site service and the receipt of the necessary information about the qualifications of specialists. I love these reviews and I always use them.
