willpeavy
i meant in food? There aren't any vegan foods with decent levels of creatine that I'm aware of. Synthetic creatine is the only way I know of for vegans to get a lot of creatine
Guest
Yeah synthetic creatine is the only good source I know of that's vegan Are there certain brands that are vegan and ones that are not? Also, does that cover stuff like the effervescent creatine? Any certain brands you'd recommend? Thanks.
willpeavy
All the brands of creatine monohydrate I've seen in stores have been synthetic. I don't know of any brands that get their creatine from animal products
Guest
Creatine isn't in significant amounts in meat or vegetables...there is almost none in veggies other than the source synthetic creatine is synthesized from(a root you wouldn't want to eat). And red meat has the most...if I remember you need to eat 50 servings of red meat to equal the amount of creatine you get from 1 serving of creatine...so really if you want more than what your body makes its kinda pointless to even think about getting it from food even if all you ate was red meat.
