flanders77
@Alex and Potter: Actually I hope she will look like her mom! Imagine a girl lookinhg like me @Rob: The DVD really was one of her favorit toys I really enjoy every moment with Marla! It is a wonder to see her developments and that she is happy. There are no worries or negetive feeling in her mind yet and hopefully she will be like that as long as possible!
veganmadre
She is beautiful! She reminds me tremendously of my daughter, Sofia. Such big, bright, inquisitive blue eyes! It warms me to see how smitten you are with her! Life is so insanely precious and she is incredible! Wish I could just hug her!
Guest
Flanders...you could be in big trouble if your wife is hott stuff and your daughter grows up to look like her...personally if I have a daughter I'd like her to look like me with long hair and a beard...then I don't have to worry about boys because they'd all be scared of her
flanders77
@Veganmadre: It means a lot to me that you liked the pics and that Marla remembers you of your daughter, who we all really miss. I will give Marla that hug, be sure! And when we are in the states (maybe next year at the east coast) be aware: I will contact you! @veganpotter: I really thought a lot about this problem. But I have a different solution: I want a beautiful daughter (looking like her mom). When she is old enough she will learn Wing Tsun. I will give a picture of her (text on the picture: I am not allowed to enter this club) to every doorman around (most of them I actually know ). And when the first boy comes to our house to pick her up I will tell him: "Remember: I have a gun, a spade and some acres of land behind the house" Hopefully this works... Bloom
I think she looks very content. Not that I can talk here but she looks like she is developing very peacefully.. If that makes any sense.. I’m sure your a great dad and it shows in the cheerful nature she radiates.

If that makes any sense.. I’m sure your a great dad and it shows in the cheerful nature she radiates. Thank you very much for the compliment Bloom! I try my best.Actually when Marla was born 14 month ago I tried to give her as much love as possible. When my mom gave a book called "The Continuum Concept" from Jean Liedloff to me I was even more sure of the way we were going. IMHO everyone should read this little book (not only parents).Without knowing Marla you descriped her developement absolutely correct. She is usually in a happy mood and very interested in almost everything. She loves animals especially cats, dogs and horses. She always says "ei" when she wants to pet a person or an animal. It is an unbelievable joy seeing her growing up. Our daughter is the best thing that ever happened to us (besides that Anke and I love eachother).
Bloom
I worked as a preeschool cheff and have done my share of baby sitting and you can tell the happy babies from the distressed ones. and Marla looks great is she a vegan baby to?
flanders77
is she a vegan baby to? No, she is not because her mom (my partner) is vegetarian. And of course Marla will eat the way her mom eats. But maybe someday...
Bloom
vegetarian diets are good for babies i think... esp. with the whole vitamin B12 debate, but i will not go into it, because thats a touchy subject.
loveliberate
vegetarian diets are good for babies i think... esp. with the whole vitamin B12 debate, but i will not go into it, because thats a touchy subject. Too late - you are "into it" now! I have 3 children - all on vegan diets since before they were born, all healthy, smart & strong - so I am very sincerely curious to hear why you think as you do. Please explain!
Bloom
I did not mean to start anything. However I did a research assignment on vitamin B 12. And I did not conclude anything but a few sources testified that the B12 found in yeast and spiralina etc. is not real B12 but I similar compound that normal testing standards don't pick up on. ( I have all the info in my report) . ( but maybe this similar compnd works just as well) But that’s not the big deal.. The only thing debatable in my mind is that a woman I knew. Who was a raw foodist for 10 years developed irreversible nerve damage in her legs and will never walk again. However I must point out that there were contributing factors to this. She only ate a few different foods, not nearly as much variety as she should of included, she had given birth 9 times which can take a toll on the body, she had been in a accident that hurt her legs, so HA possibly the main contributing factor to the nerve damage.. however she was extremely b12 deficient when she was taken into hospital because she coudl not move or controll her legs. And needed injections big time and everyone in the hospital was fascinated by this rare condition. .. maybe it wasn't the diet alone. but the end result was a B12 defficiency and permenant verve damage in her legs. I personally have not done enough medical and scientific research to say who is right and who is not. However after reading a few medical journals, books etc and seeing what happened with this woman. it remains a questionable topic for me. And that’s just the way it is for ME..
