Crystal
Its been a really wet "Monsoon" season in El Paso this year with flooding at the beginning of August right before I headed out to Portland, and again over this last Labor Day weekend. I took some pictures (got a new camera and wanted to test it out). Keep in mind that the following was caused by only 1 - 1.5 inches/2.5 - 4 cm of rain! Here is the Rio Grande overflowing its banks (and onto my favorite crosstraining course):http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v389/vegancrystal/El%20Paso/DSCF0173.jpg More Rio Grande, you can see where the normal bank is by the line of trees/shrubs:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v389/vegancrystal/El%20Paso/DSCF0175.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v389/vegancrystal/El%20Paso/DSCF0178.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v389/vegancrystal/El%20Paso/DSCF0180.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v389/vegancrystal/El%20Paso/DSCF0181.jpg I like the irony of this picture. robert
Wow, lots of flooding! I heard about it from you and Daywalker. It must be pretty crazy over there. I'm glad you got a new camera. I went back to Aalto's and looked for it there too, but couldn't find it Thanks for sharing the photos, I hope things "Dry Up" soon! Crystal...............Crystal.............Crystal............Crystal!!! Have fun with the new camera.

finbarrio
That cross training course looks awesome - I mean, if it weren't under a few feet of water. I've vacationed on Myrtle Beach a few times and they had one of those right next to the condo - 1 mile run out with 10 stations, mile back with 10 different stations. We'd squeeze a couple more miles in between. So 4 - 5 total miles with 20 stations. Great morning wake up workout.
CollegeB
That water would add some really good resistance though. Crystal you probably should give the course a try now.
Odidnetne
It floods like that by me a lot too, some of the pictures I have are *REALLY* bad.
SeaSiren
Keep in mind that the following was caused by only 1 - 1.5 inches/2.5 - 4 cm of rain! It is amazing what just a little rain can do to that area. I imagine those incredible photos still don't equate to what it was like seeing in person.
