Pre workout meal and after workout meal?

Pre workout meals are simply to have enough energy.

 

After workout meals are to provide nutrition for the body grow and repair, do you do insulin spikes (using Dextrose or other insulin spiking foods) to increase the uptake of nutrition? Why and why not?

I like to eat some "raw" oats with a banana, raisins and some molasas before I ride my bike...when I get back I eat an banana buritto almost immediately along with some spirulina...then I do my stretches and abs...after that I normally eat a salad with some sprouted beans and a small amount of seeds/nuts with a very light amount of dressing
