xChrisZx
I am surprised no one has been talking about this stuff... I had never had real egg nog so I can't make a comparison of the two. FOr those who have not had it, it is like drinking sugar cookies.
Odidnetne
I couldn't get past the smell of egg nog, let alone try it years ago.
loveliberate
The Left Coast has Vitasoy up the wazoo - we just tried both the Peppermint Chocolate & the Holly Nog because we had coupons for them. Both are ok but nothing I'd personally choose to have with any regularity.
Guest
I like them all but I think the silk nog tastes closer to the real thing...you should add rum too it also to make it more realistic
Kathryn
I've tried Silk nog, but I wasn't sure how close it was to the real thing, since I've never had 'the real thing.' ETA: I see that www.veganessentials.com has the two Vitasoy flavors on their website (on my list for my next order...after I get my monthly coupon!) veggymeggy
I love, love, love the silk nog. And yes....even better with rum.
Guest
Its not quite nog without the rum now is it
Michelle
I just tried some of the chocolate mint flavor. It's tasty, it's interesting, and it's incredibly sweet. Too sweet, I think. It looks like a drink, but I'm thirstier now than I was before I drank it, so is it still considered a drink? So perplexing. I've never had chocolate-mint nog before, so I can't comment on how realistic it tastes. Now that I think about it, it's probably been 20 years since I've had the traditional flavor of homemade egg nog, and I've never made it past the first sip of the prepackaged stuff, so I don't even know if it has a noggish sort of flavor. Potter, how much rum should I add to make it palatable? About half and half?
Guest
you should actually add the nog to the rum...just add enough nog so as the rum is no longer clear as for the other flavored soymilks...with the exception of the green tea which I love...I like to dillute them with 1/3 origonal silk or plain of some other brand...way too much sugar. Its a must for chocolate silk and chai(which I highly reccomment)...I've never seen the chocolate mint but I'll give it a go if I run into it
