Bigbwii
Youre a stud. Especially the pull up clap and grip switch. Not really coz once you practise and build up your body then those exercises become a lot easier to do.....
robert
You da man, Big! I reference you all the time when I'm talking to others about the power of raw foods, fruits, and incorporating more of those foods in their diet. Thanks for being a great role model! Bigbwii
You da man, Big! I reference you all the time when I'm talking to others about the power of raw foods, fruits, and incorporating more of those foods in their diet. Thanks for being a great role model! Hey Robert that's good to know and is truly an honour!....Thank you!!!! I personaly think that the more we celebrate the lifestyle the more positive vibes others will feel....too many raw foodists complain about every ache and pain and spend all there time gripeing instead of appreciating the work their bodies are doing to correct the wrongs! I also had a nightmare of a time when I first started out as a Fruitarian but I learnt that you gotta be a warrior.....it's what I had to go through for my body to heal and correct itself....and yes socially it's a hard adjustment but I've learnt that it's only as hard as you make it! So I encourage all you raw foodist to celebrate/remember the good things that you have experienced since going raw, as well as any improved fitness, strength and physical improvements and post them here so we can all celebrate and support each other! JW
Hey Big.... quick question for youI've been hearing stories from people I know who have experienced bloating and weight gain as a result of eating fruit as a morning meal.Their doctors blame it on the natural sugars in fruit. Can you shed any light on this for me? It just doesn't make sense to me

It just doesn't make sense to me No idea...without know more details about these people it's hard to say because it could depend on a lot of things....and what fruits are they eating, what the state of their current diet, how much are they eating, are they 100% raw?, is their whole body bloated or just their gut? For instance it could be that they are cleaning out but then blocking themselves up again with cooked foods and the gut is trying to adjust and do the right thing. I have no idea without knowing more about the individuals!....chances are it's not the fruits that are at fault....it's the choices the people make! JW
yeah, tough to tell because I don't know for certain what choices they are making. They claim that their diet has remained the same other than increasing fruit consumption. Bloating in the stomach area and increased weight resulted. Hypothetically though, if I were to eat nothing but fruit in the morning and ate my usual diet of veggie pita sandwiches, stir frys, falafels, etc....is it possible that I would gain weight?Or is it more likely that the fruit doesn't satisfy my hunger, causing me to eat more of other foods? btw.... the people I referred to are not code for JW

Either way it's not wise to mix raw and cooked.....
Trev
These days all I'm eating for breakfast is a bunch of fruit, or a fruit/kale smoothie and not a stomach problem to speak of. Before I was vegan, even, I used to have tons of stomach problems, it was rare that I didn't have some ache or bloat (I'm talking about the first 33 years of my life here). Going vegan totally changed that, and stacks of fruit, no prob. Don't think it's the fruit causing their problems.
Odidnetne
I've eaten 30$ worth of fruit in 6 hours and felt fine. I tend to have this thing though where I don't listen to doctors once they start talking about nutrition.

RawRunnerBethany
Hey Big.... quick question for youI've been hearing stories from people I know who have experienced bloating and weight gain as a result of eating fruit as a morning meal.Their doctors blame it on the natural sugars in fruit. Can you shed any light on this for me? It just doesn't make sense to me Hey, if I may step in...the reason this happens is when the dinner meal is sufficiently difficult to digest, it is still in the stomach come morning. Then when you eat fruit on top of it, the fruit ferments. The fruit will not cause this problem if eaten on an EMPTY stomach. It's not the fruit at all that causes this, but the meal eaten the night before. Make sense? Hope this helps!
