andgbr
Sorry, i'm not saying it's impossible, but i've never heard of a sumo fighter that was Vegetarian, do you guys know if there's any out there? lol

andgbr
well, being a bodybuilder must be as hard as being a sumo wrestler, because muscles consume a lot more calories than fat, so i don't think it would be so hard as we imagine.. ( ok, but still hard )... but not impossible for sure.. well, i barely know a thing about sumo, but it would be really cool if there was a vegan sumo wrestler out there.. he could have some advantages i believe? no? a health slightly better than ''regular'' sumo guys.. Odidnetne
The Japanese don't eat that much meat as a whole though, not to say they're vegetarians, but they don't eat nearly as much as Americans.
Richard
Found this on wikipedia: "Rikishi are not normally allowed to eat breakfast and are expected to have a nap after a large lunch. The most common type of lunch served is the traditional "sumo meal" of chankonabe which consists of a simmering stew cooked at table which contains various fish, meat, and vegetables. It is usually eaten with rice and washed down with beer. This regimen of no breakfast followed by a large lunch helps rikishi put on weight so as to compete more effectively. A nap after lunch also assists in this process." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sumo That's interesting! I will make sure I eat breakfast every day now biznatch
