the new immortal technique album is really angry music and is good for the gym.

Dance With the Devil, one of my fav classics. Think I may have mentioned that before Nice taste in music...

Btw jaleel, this is a commercial house song, not rap, just so you know...

-Ida Corr

I think the lyrics and how they flow are poor but I love the way the beat sounds

Nas "NY State of Mind"

Had Illmatic playing while I was painting my basement walls the other day. Kept me motivated despite it being deathly hot to where I felt like giving up from feeling so drained. Definitely one of my favorite discs.

Ha, maybe we should try that. We're currently painting our basement walls and I think I'd rather be sanding my face with a belt sander.

I've been working on a complete facelift in our basement on and off for the past month or so, and I can safely say, I freakin' hate doing it. Previous owners did a nice job of concealing the fact that minerals were leeching through the walls due to too much moisture where rain wasn't being drained away far enough, so a few years later it gets to be my problem. I'm thinking that the belt sander to the face sounds much more plesant than going back down to finish over the next few days, especially with the 90+ degree heatwave coming our way.

That said, current playlist:

Camp Lo - Uptown Saturday Night

Brother Ali - Shadows on the Sun

Talib Kweli - Quality

Pharcyde - Labcabincalifornia

J Dilla - Donuts
