GGreen
I understand the reasoning behind it and it being easier on your digestive system. But how can you get all your daily nutrients and ensure variety without exceeding daily calories with such an eating habit?
Odidnetne
You listen more to your body than the FDA by mono eating. Nobody needs exactly 2,000 calories a day, and you just eat until you're satisfied.
michaelhobson
I agree with Ed, not too many nutrients are required every single day. We only have the occassional mono-meal though, such as the brussel sprouts we had for dinner. We've had other stuff earlier in the day.
seand
there is a big difference between mono meals and a mono day. if you ate mono meals but had 8 meals per day and ate seasonally.. that seems like an opportunity for some crazy variety over a year. i grew up having a set dinner depending on the day of the week. fish sticks every monday and pepperoni pizza every friday, cherrios for breakfast everyday, etc. where was my variety? princessbee
I have been mono eating the last week, pigging out on fruit. it's great. and you certainly notice the difference in how heavy/clogged up you feel. I bought all my favourite fruits and put them in the fridge at work. I don't try and eat all fruits everyday, just a good variety each day. I eat the one type of fruit til I'm satisfied. then a couple of hours later I eat another type of fruit.
HealthyElijah
Eating multiple times a day increases your metabolism and makes you age faster resulting in a shorter lifespan. By multiple, I mean Ad-lib. It has been proven in studies.
loveliberate
I often (but not always) eat raw mono mini-meals & will probably do so more regularly in the future.
