robert
A dream come true! I trained at the Historic Muscle Beach in Venice, California today! Brendan Brazier and I went there at 9AM after dropping off our friends at the airport. We got up at 4:45AM (L.A. traffic was an issue so had to leave early) and only slept 4 hours or less. Regardless, I was pumped and had a lot of fun. Another dream come true will take place tomorrow when we go to Gold's Gym in Venice! I can't wait. Here are some pics from this morning. Now, I'm taking a nap. robert
Yeah, "awesome" is the right word. Check it out. We were there early (since we got up a before 5AM to leave from Anaheim to the LAX airport, then Venice). There were only a few old guys there since we were so early. A guy about 70 years old saw my Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness t-shirt and said, "So, you're a vegan lifter, huh?" I said, "yeah, I sure am." He said, "are there many of you? I've never heard of a group before......I ask this because I'm one myself." "Blue" was his name and he's a regular down there. I have some extra Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness shirts with me so I may leave one with him if I see him later this week. We were on a boardwalk. Good Karma, Vegan Fast Food Restaurant is directly across from Muscle Beach, about 20 feet from it, as you can see. They were closed because we were so early, but I hope to stop in there before I leave. Great times here in Southern California.
Tigress
The pics look great .... Im not sure if I am more envious of the weather or the fact you are on muscle beach !!
pelicanAndrew
Oh man super cool!!!! You really look a lot more bulked up(in a good way, not a hey fatty way ) than last time you posted pics.
robert
Thanks! I really feel that way too! I really feel like I'm starting to thicken up a bit. I've had some extra motivation with Vegan Vacation coming up. Many of you are expecting me to look "big" so I gotta be big! I also just love feeling "big, thick or heavy" and I didn't feel like that much lately. But it's starting to come along and I'm feeling good. davidtarrfoster actually thinks the fact that I've been "raw" for a day or two a week has helped me look "fit" and also muscular and full at the same time. Thanks for the comments everyone. I'll get more and better ones soon. Brendan was tired after his run and didn't feel like taking too many but of course I asked him to take some and he's a nice guy so he took some. Look for pics for Venice Gold's tomorrow or the next day! It will be a DREAM Come TRUE to train there!
Hero
amazing dude.once i am 100% raw and start bulking up with VEGA, i would love to workout there and get some shots done to promote veganism
robert
Awesome! I think the RAW does have something to do with it. I went totally raw for 4 days and Dave noticed I started to "look more fit" and I was pretty ripped and when I combine that with some bulking the other days with nutrition programs and with my training, it seems to work well. There are lots of RAW athletes here in L.A. and some say they build muscle without even trying.....others are scrawny so I think it is an individual thing. But I do think that cleansing a bit has helped me come back stronger. I'm not all raw and have no intentions to be fully raw but focusing on raw foods when I hang out with Brendan seems to help and work well. It's so fun out here, just me and Brendan hanging out all around Hollywood and surrounding areas for the next few days.

I'm sure it helped to shed a couple of pounds, as I recall you saying that you lost your 6 pack with all of those burritos.

cubby2112
That's great seeing a VBBF shirt on muscle beach. I am guessing that guy you talked to at the beach isn't much into computers?
