Rawj
I am trying to find a juicer. I would prefer one that isn't too expensive, but not so cheap that is will break easily. it will probably get used a lot because myself, my roommate, and her kids would all be drinking the juice. I would prefer one that I can put most fruits/vegetables into it whole.
pratt
I don't know what price range you consider expensive for a juicer, but... I have the omega (now the 8003) and it is fantastic.http://omegajuicers.com/8003_8005.html Very low RPMs so the enzymes aren't killed by heat. I can usually make a 16-20oz drink from a couple carrots, a stalk of broccoli, a cup of cabbage and a 1/4 beet. The carrots go in whole, the broccoli needs to be cut because of the size of the floret. I've had it for about 7 years with no problems.I think I bought it here: http://www.discountjuicers.com/omega8003.html ps clean up is really easy once you get used to it. 3 minutes tops. Rawj
I thought I saw somewhere that there is a machine that can make soymilk and make juice too. Is there one? If not can someone suggest a machine to make soymilk with also?
pratt
the 8003 is listed as capable of making soy milk... http://omegajuicers.com/images/8002soy_lg.jpg soft fruits work, not as well as hard vegetable..but they work
andgbr
nice..i must buy a food processor.. before i go crazy... ( not for the soy milk though.. but i'd love to make veggie juices.. without having to make the mess and waste that i make using my blender.. and for wheatgrass as well ).. Rawj
what is the difference between the 8001 and 8002 compared to the 8003/8005?
pratt
I am pretty sure the new 8003 has two points of juice extraction, and the 8001 only has one. the screen used for juicing has more surface area in the 8003
