veggiepark Posted April 26, 2007 Share Posted April 26, 2007 Any advice on counting reps? Starting to lift alone and occasionally skip in counting reps. Kon Posted April 26, 2007 Share Posted April 26, 2007 I have found it useful to decide on a number and then count up to it or down from it for each rep. You have to have some idea in your mind as to what you want to do so that you can easily gauge how you're doing and what can be done to improve it. It also gives you a goal to reach. SeaSiren Posted April 26, 2007 Share Posted April 26, 2007 I count and concentrate on every rep. Most exercises are 1 count up, 2 counts down, concentrating on the muscle.
