So my pastor Peter, his sister from Hungary and I ent on a little roadtrip yesterday. We drove up to the northern part on Skåne in Sweden where I live. There is this piece of art called Nimis. It's the koolest piece of art I have ever seen and it kept us well entertained for 3 hours untill we had to rush back home.

You can read more about Nimis here:

After a loong hike far, far down through the dark swedish forest we're finally there..

Another picture taking from the "entrance"

Yap! This is my ass, people! Notice how well it goes with the..er...wood!

Peter is the monkey of the day! He was climbing everywhere

http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/7030/peterklttrar1rc7.jpg

And this is what he saw from up there..

Peter is climbing again!

I didn't climb. I want to live a while longer! (that doesn't mean I'm a coward!!)

Now I have made it to the "bottom" I found a rope tied as a swing that amused me for a good while. I don't think I've ever had such a sore bum in my life!!

This was one of Peters views (not too bad if I may say so myself lol and I don't say that because I happened o be on that picture.)

Here I was caught on camera while taking pictures of myself making funny faces (and I'm not the least embarrassed to admit that). What can I say? I'm easily amused!!

This is Nimis from the view I had at the "swing"

The King on the Throne (with a desperate try to look somewhat kool...I might have failed on that one) (and I'm in a desperate need of a haircut!!)

Arx!

There's something about ropes.. I love them! Now, if I had let go of that other arm my head would have hit the concrete. That would've made quite a mess and probably given me a headache of a lifetime.

I TOLD her it was fun!!!

(she agreed)

Peter climbed Nimis once again...

...So I had to lock him up!!

(ehm, he did get in there, climbing because the "door" is not really a door - but he got stuck and it took a while for him to get out of there hahahahah..)

http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/5674/inkomhanmeninteutjp9.jpg

Time to go back - this was out "walk" back to the "gate"

http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/2452/vagenupp1qs2.jpg

We made it!!! Now we just have wo walk all the way back to the "top" which was a killer workout!!! (but fun!)

And here, at last, is where it all started...

http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/7781/tillbakafrnstart3timmarsy6.jpg

Almost at the car and time for a cow break! I found a cute baby moo-moo I had to talk to (and pet)

http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/9103/kossapauswt2.jpg

But its mom got pissed! I swear, whoever claimed cows were not hostile have never met this piece of meat! I mean look at her - it's all in the horns... But I appologised and as a thank you she put snot all over my hand. Yah, thanks a LOT, cow!

I know you didn't have nearly as fun as I have when you watched these pictures!

So fine, be that way... and have a lovely day. I'm off to new adventures now.

Liz, you rock so much! You are soooooo cute! Great photos and awesome that you found a cave!

It looks like it was a pretty awesome trip and I'm glad you had loads of fun. You have lots of fun traveling and exploring to look forward to in the near future and I'm sure play structures, caves, and goofy photos will be part of it.

Have fun!

I know. I leave comments like that for lots of people. The photos are totally cute, playful and fun! It looks like a great time, that's all.

Liz is kind of like a female version of Richard, and I love that that fun, goofy, playful, funny style. It's just my thing.

And they are cool pics too.

Where exactly are these structures?

They are amazing!

I was pretty surprised at how large they were.

They are located in the northern part of Skåne, which is the very most southern part of Sweden. I dunno if you read the links but it's actually located in a state of its own and anyone that wants to can be a citizen. The artist lived in a cave up there (!) while making that thing,so he lived there for years, and then someone burned it down but he rebuilt it, and then a storm got it but he rebuilt it and then waves took a part of it but he...yes, rebuilt it. it's made entirely out of drift woods (is that what it's called when it's been in the ocean?)

First time I was there was about 1.5 months ago, early spring and the climb down (3km) was very spooky since it was all...greay, and no birds and just really..spooky, adn then, you see that humongous thing. It's made for a horror movie I tell ya. If I had a car I would go there every weeked. People from all over the world travel just to see it every summer. I love that place.

if ANYONE ever visit sweden, I'll take you guys there. (I'll take you too Offense.. if you have a car we can go there one weekend or on a weekday when you're not working)

I think I've lost 3 lbs - which is not water only - in 2 days LOL

Ed - I'll PM you!

Caveman - I'd like to try to fit you in that cave! I also know of another cave a few miles away... haha. hint hint.

I'm generally not an art afficiando but I can really appreciate this!

I'm a bit of a beachcomber and I love finding cool rocks and driftwood.

I've been thinking about creating some furniture out of driftwood but THIS just blows me away!

Thanks so much for sharing
