Trev
I missed the Krav Maga episode too. I liked the Pankration one tho. I wonder how much of modern Pankration has come from other martial arts though. It was lost and reconstructed largely through studying drawings on urns. There was bound to be influence, esp from modern MMA. I'm sure it's pretty close and it's definitely very cool! It is the father of almost all other martial arts afterall. It's amazing to see the similarities in martial arts from show to show, with the training, the origins etc, and with Pankration, you can see where it all started. I can't believe Bill punched a guy in the face again! That's lack of experience (and therefore control).
pelicanAndrew
The Krav Maga episode just left me not liking the Israeli government and armed forces although the training is incredibly hardcore. A little bit too spazzy for me and I would never pay to take lessons since the money goes back to state sponsored terror, but that's just me. Over40
I've only caught the show here and there, although I get the feeling many of the Master's go a little easy on the American "students". So far the Savate episode has been my favorite, I was amazed by the fellow in Paris who still teaches- and he also taught POw's in WWII.
