Ravi
We had the best time in Seattle. Was great hanging out with Ravi, XBillyX, LizWorld, Hero, Jessifly and Gyre. The stay was all to short....but I think we finally decided that Seattle is indeed more kick a$$ than portland for vegans! We had pillow fights using BFP's, hikes, papple napping (ask lizworld), and ate at practically every vegan spot (that was open) in the city! Can't wait to see everyone up here again. We'll have to do another Seattle (or Swedish!) VBB meetup soon. p.s. Our first set of pics are in the general meetups section of the forum. - Ravi & Lizworld. lotus
Looks like fun...Thanks for the photos! I never knew there was a gum wall in Seattle! I want to go! Did you all go see the troll under the bridge? That is a pretty cool Seattle thing...oooh and the statues that are always dressed up differently...did you see those? Seattle is very vegan friendly. Anyone go to the White Elephant? That is one of the coolest thrift stores and it is a non profit for animals! We gotta do a regional gathering in Seattle sometime soon! If we plan it out we can get a big group together! Although lodging is very pricey up there!
xbillyx
It was so fun hanging out with everyone. Everyone loved riding in my biodiesel car. We ended up ordering six orders of veggie combo at Ethiopian. Crazy. Hero/Topher can eat like mad. Ravi and I are talking about organizing a regional meetup in Seattle soon. Stay tuned. I am thinking of traveling. I may be in Portland soon.

Steej
A great band - Listened to them a long time ago!!! I have not given their latest cd a listen though. I remember seeing a local show and some dude was wearing a Stretch shirt - we talked about how you don't see many people with shirts or that know about them. That was such a long time ago though!!! xChrisZx
I drive a 1985 VW Golf Diesel and run it on biodiesel. How much work did it take to get that up and running? I have heard/read so many different ways of converting to biodiesel. I really want to do the same I just need to find a car to do it to.
xbillyx
Actually, it was really easy. If you end up getting a diesel older than about '92, you'll need to replace the fuel lines. If you get a newer one you don't need to do anything. You'll need to replace your fuel filter after 2-3 tanks of biodiesel, as biodiesel runs smooth and removes all of the corrosion diesel leaves behind, which can clog your filter. I'm happy to give tons more info. Maybe I'll make a separate post on here.
