I love it how you take these cards seriously! I do put great thought into them, and if they're inaccurate I want to update them

I see how much effort you put into them and i really like them, thus i want to honour your work

 

And it's fun thinking and discussing the ratings. Like when we were kids and used to argue who would win, He-Man or Superman* etc.

Cool I will do those characters I think. I would argue that Blade as a cooler costume, he only really lacks a mask. I am unfamiliar with american ninja and captain kirk. But does captain kirk flip out that much? Also, american ninja, how does he dress?

i added blade and captain. I don't know what american ninja looks like, so I can't find a picture yet for him. I think I might split up the page into segments, having them all on one page makes it hard to search, and also hard to load, especially on 56k i imagine

I am unfamiliar with american ninja and captain kirk. But does captain kirk flip out that much? Also, american ninja, how does he dress?

On second thought, i think Kirk has cool weapons (the Phaser, and the various cannons on his ship, and he can beam ), but they're not very ninja style. So, the awesomeness of his weapons is high, but the number and especially the appropriateness (?) to a ninja are low, so maybe 9 is too high.

I think Kirk is very undogmatic and choleric. I think it's better to reduce FOF by 1 and raise Br by 1 in turn. He's not very diplomatic and uses force when encountering any situation.

 

I will google for the American Ninja, i'm astonished you don't know these classic B-movies about ninjas (from the 80's).

In the movie, he fights all the time, but if i remember right, wears black ninja dress when he expects to fight I think in one of the movies he is the white ninja, not so sure, though

I've updated the page for easier viewing. It took me fucking ages and it was boring. But I think it works better now.

It's a bit cheesy when he wears it. And i don't know if it's really 100%. If authentic ninja costume is 100%, he deserves it, though.

But I thought it's not only that, also awesomeness. It's a bit boring compared to modern ninja charaters like Scorpion, Sub Zero and such.

Yeah but it IS a ninja! I have examined a bit closer, it is a bit duff close up, it's not that authentic. I give him 9 I think, when I make him. I need a good picture of him in the suit to represent the 9 that he gets. Otherwise, it will be REALLY stupid! Giving him a 9, and he is just some bum in regular clothes.

I have added wolverine to the page, and also done xena. However, I have never actually seen the xena show, which is what it's called. Have a look at the card and see if I am anywhere near correct with my ratings:

As far as I know she is just human with no magic or anything, so she couldn't get more than 5 stars for fighting. If she has magic or other powers, that will go up. Obviously magic would also go up depending on if she uses magic. I think she uses a variety of weapons, all of which are pretty good. Brutality and flip out I feel more confident about, although let me know if I am wrong. Costume, I feel I am able to appraise, and I get a strong feeling of heavy metal too.

Xena has lethal combat skills and has been known to beat 10 men at once, so I would definitely give her at least a 9 for fighting ability.

 

Not too certain about stealth -- she did trick alot of people, but more of a mental thing.

 

There were a few magical things, but nothing that she used regularly -- only for one show, etc (maybe a 1 or 2 ?). She also had the power to slay gods for a while.

 

There was some brutality, but she didn't kill unless she had to (maybe same rating as flip out factor ?).

IMO: No stealth - even when the Phoenix force possesses someone, it shows in their appearance.

 

Fighting ability is definitely a 10.

 

She has the ability to do anything she wants, but can't control people, so not certain about magic.

 

Costume has a phoenix on it.

 

She doesn't generally use weapons.

 

Doesn't seem to be into heavy metal.

 

She can be brutal - but not really hand to hand brutal - so may be a 5 ?

 

8 or 9 for flip out factor.

 

What do you think her scores should be ?

I don't count mutant abilities as magic. But phoenix isn't the same is it? It is magical right? It's not a genetic thing? I'll see what you and daywalker have to say about that. I don't know how much phoenix flips out.

I don't know anything about Phoenix.

 

Xena is okay with FA 5. I wonder why she even has Magic 2, afaik she's completely mundane. I'd cut down costume by 2 and weapons at least 1. She has a sword and this throwing ring-thing, but not more, and it's not THAT overwhelmingly awesome i think. Rest is fine.

 

Wolverine i'd cut FA by at least one, better 2. His superpowers are not THAT strong. I think he's in the same league as Blade. He has wound regeneration mainly, metal covered bones and his spurs, and i think enhanced senses and reflexes. He's a trained fighter, but not in the same league as the supernaturals like Spidy and the Buffy-Vampires. The rest fits perfect, i like the picture choice

I am lowering xena's magic to 1, and her weapons to 6. I think she does use other weapons at some points in the series, not just her standard weapons, but yeah 8 was too much by the sounds of it. I think her outfit kicks ass, and if it had a mask it'd be 10, so I am leaving it at 8.

 

I like it how you say Wolverine's abilities aren't that good, and then you describe them and it takes like a whole paragraph! He is pretty powerful. I will lower him to 8. The regeneration thing is pretty intense, but yeah he isn't as resilient as Jason. Jason gets smashed with stuff and doesn't even flinch. Wolverine gets smashed, and then later on recovers.

 

Nobody has commented on Sabrina because she is awesome and doesn't require comments

Xena is awesome!!!!

 

She has lethal combat skills, like Crash said, and she is a brilliant strategist. maybe not a ninja, but the ultimate female warrior.

 

I am a HUGE Xena fan...plus I think she's hot. If I was a guy, I would be totally turned on by her (I know this is irrelevant to the ninja ranking cards Richard, just wanting to get that off my chest though). heck, I am a woman and I am STILL nevertheless turned on by her.
