I imagine the primary difference is that the American Gladiators shout "YEEEHAWW! Let's rassle, yer bean-eatin' chickin' shit" every three seconds, because that's how American's talk. I used to really like Gladiators, they had a thing where you had to hang from hoops attached to ropes, and you had to get from one side to the other without getting owned by the Gladiator.
