Bored, What's that...

I don't have time to get bored, between, work, gym, a partner, volleyball, rugby and socialising with friends I don't get a lot of time to be bored. When I get spare time I watch a movie or listen to music...

I guess I get bored in meetings at work sometimes, so I people watch or doodle...

1. Go volunteer for an AR group, AW, or AP group. Volunteer at an animal shelter.

2. Go the the library. Get books, dvds and cds. I just saw a great book yesterday "1000 books to read before you die". It lists 1000 of the greatest books, ever, and explains why they think you should read them. You have the opportunity to knock of 2 - 3 a month.

3. Take a long walk.......more enjoyable than you think.

4. House cleaning by day, going out at night and making new friends.

5. Take a class

6. Learn a new skill

7. Do really long yoga workouts

Between work, and going to the gym I don't have too much extra time. But in my spare/ bored time I study my textbook on personal training, this is usually done at the gym while I'm waiting for my ride. And when I'm at home I'm either on the computer usually at this site, or watching a few of my favorite tv shows at night. Oh and at different times during the day I also eat! Oh and I forgot to add that I love to read, but I never have the time anymore.

Never let yourself get bored . Every moment you spend bored is a moment that you will never get back and that was essentially wasted. If you spend 3 hours a day being bored, that is one-eighth of your life that has been completely wasted that you'll never get back.

I would use your spare time to find out what you want, write it down and then get it. If you want to be physically fit, develop an exercise routine and do it. If you want to learn, read or take some courses. Just do something to get yourself closer to what you want in life. This way, in 5 years you can look back and know that you really did something with your time.

Also, I would read Peaceful Warrior or rent the movie. You'll never be bored again.

I read. I read a lot sometimes

I second this statement.

mr pink if you click on my myspace list under book sections i have links to animal rights reading materials including ethics essays by various people and a long read about livestock and the environment.

What i do though for more fun reading is peruse the young adult section of the library. This allows me to finish a book in a night and feel accomplished.

Go to craigslist.org and find your city and post under the personals under platonic or even the activities sections looking for people to do things you would enjoy.

For me there is nothing more enjoyable than taking a long walk aimlessly, i feel you cannot know a city until you have walked it. I am sure cyclists and runners feel this as well. Also i know that you are trying to get healthy and active and love to cook so perhaps you might be able to find or start a vegan activities group.

Good luck
