Ravi says I look like a Troll because I don't have a neck, my hair is out of control and my face looks messed up, but it's still my favorite photo!

 

Note, if you look carefully you can see Ravi and xveganjoshx in the photo too. Photo taken on my 28th birthday, March 2, 2008!

I found another pic that shows some recent progress and it's another "new" favorite

 

I'm having fun training these days! This is from the hotel as soon as we arrived, I was already checking the forum.

Don't you ever get tired of doing that? To start with, I thought you just posed a lot for pictures, but now I think you are permanently stuck doing it, kind of like tourettes. You'll be doing it on the toilet, or on the train, even in your sleep.

Yeah, maybe it's a bit out of control. I go through phases of not posing at all and then when I get in shape or at least in pretty good shape, I get "stuck" like that.

 

I get a lot of strange looks but it's cool.

That pic on the leg curl... seriously your forearms look massive, what size are those pups? Measure em up...

 

I'm not sure, but something like 17 inches I think. Maybe 15-17 range. I'll check sometime.

 

My forearms have always stood out a bit, but I really liked the deltoid and triceps in the photo and that is what made it my favorite Sure.....there is some sort of extra chunk of muscle that just sticks out of my forearm halfway up my arm, but from shoulder to fingertip, this was probably my best arm pic and I had to share it.

 

The funny thing is, I was training legs and just hit that pose as the gym closed for the evening. Arms weren't even pumped

To be honest............I don't flex "that much." I do it to entertain my friends....sure some people may say, "Robert flexes all the time" but what they mean is "Robert flexes all the time he's around me." I don't go around wasting energy, I get in position when the camera is on or when friends are around and I feel like amusing them.

 

But, as I get in better shape, I do flex a little more often. Not at the gym though. I train in a sweatshirt and long pants and those who train with me know that. I'm always fully covered up and have a hat on too. I like to stay warm and I don't spend time flexing when I'm training. I flex for the entertainment value and the reaction I get from others who think it's silly, funny, dumb, etc.

The arms are lookin good too, no doubts about that...

 

Just measured my flexed forearm (not pumped) 14 inches.

Left arm flexed (not pumped) 16 inches.

Right arm flexed (not pumped) 16.5 inches.

 

Where you at.... YEAH BUDDY!

I'll have to break out my yard stick, bend it around my arms and find out for you one of these days

 

I've never had very large muscles and I have quite a slim and small frame, peaking at 193 pounds in 2003, and currently around 187-191 on any given day.

 

I'll release some numbers one of these days but don't look for anything to stand out except a flexed forearm that may have an impressive number.

A better way is to grab a string and wrap it around, then measure the string. At least thats what I did.

 

By the way, I quit if your forearms (15- 17 ) are bigger than my biceps/triceps(16-16.5).

PS. I was jokin about the quitting.

This is what I use; it's a nifty tape measure meant for stuff like this. For 3 bucks, you can't go wrong.

I'll measure soon...Last night I took an NO product and trained arms with my slow reps (my new training style) and my arms were H.U.G.E. I seriously had a hard time taking my shirt off in the lockerroom and my arms were as solid as wood. It was nice!

 

Of course, then I came home, was totally exhausted and was lying in bed for 3 hours trying to recover .....but it was still cool.

 

I'll measure and get some updated arm pics soon.....Arnold Classic was a taste of what is to come.

That's awesome. My good arm workouts normally involve difficulty opening a protein bar of some kind afterwards.
