robert
Please share some funny photos here! This is all just for fun....I'll start. The day I left for Florida I was explaining some things to Jessifly while quickly washing my Vita Mix to pack in my suitcase. I was having a serious conversation with her and then realized I missed the sink while washing the blender and was chatting with her while looking like this. Lean and Green
I have about 17 pics from a 'Raw Chocolate Rave' hosted by we like it raw but i didn't want to post them until tasha received her durian jewelry as i was donning some of my own. This pic from that collection is kinda funny. I'm no real deal ninja like richard but when i saw this dude running the elixir bar, i just had to strike a pose for vbbf and to illustrate how cool the event was. Hopefully i'll get a chance to make a separate thread tonight with the other pics. Pardon the sweaty shirt, was dancing up a storm all night long..... http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/1499/13jpgni6.jpg Marcina, new funny ones!! I know you have some. Tuc, Richard, i know there's others out there. That hair thread needs to be revived also. I may have to do something scary very soon to bump that one up! robert
I know it's not a forum member, but still kinda funny... Sent to me in an e-mail.... Put your flags away and don't be offended....you know "most" American's eat in ways that form this shape and it's not a healthy one. Michelangelo's famous statue of The David returns to Italy this week after a successful 12 week, 20 city tour of the USA . http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c210/VeganBodybuilder/Bodybuilding%20Photos/image001.jpg

cubby2112
It's not the USA that makes people fat, it's their lack of self-control. Yes, but this lack of self-control is embedded in the culture of the United States. It isn't going to make you fat, it will merely be the enabler in the quest. Here is a photo from when I used to drink. I passed out first and hard.http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b32/cubby2112/birdcage.jpg

tuc
I don't think that culture that lacks self-control exculdes personal responsibility in any way. The culture just makes it easy to ignore it, it doesn't make it any less valuable or appreciated. I think it's actually quite the opposite. In countries where people are expected to have very high level of self-control (such as Japan), personal responsibility is taken as granted. However, it's still there even if no one makes a kerfuffle of it.

I don't mean in any way that people are not responsible for what they do to themselves. In America it cannot be doubted that a lack of responsibility, especially pertaining to diet, is indoctrinated into nearly every citizen. It is far easier to exercise self-control when it comes to eating if you were raised to practice it. Japan, like Tuc mentioned, is a good example of this. People are ultimately responsible for what they put into their bodies, but society often makes it easier to shuck this responsibility.
