  1. I think they've got a point with the needing meat part, as we do need b12, however it is just NOT true anymore. If we were still primative, then yes, maybe we would need to eat some b12 source. However, like a chimpanzee for example, it would be an EXTREMELY small part of our natural diet, something like 5%. I believe a b12 source that is more realistic for a human being is something like eggs from a birds nest, or insects, which we would actually be able to catch. Also, if this was the scenario, there wouldn't be the ethical dilemna which is so many people's reason for being vegan in the first place. Most people that feel the need to advocate their meat-eating indulge on it, and that's definately a moral issue. Eating any dairy or meat today is an ethical question, why do it when you can be much healthier as a vegan?
  2. Pervert!!!!! I was thinking the exact same thing, though. I was thinkin the pervert part.
  3. thank you, but in that case you'd have to reeeeally fast, i don't wanna be in the space for so long.. I do, How would you grow food on the moon? By bringing all the food animals, we'd effectively become non-vegan, unless there was a giant ship with terrariums on it!
  4. I'm not sure what the best juicer is, the one I have is an expensive one from about 20 years ago! Still works great though, almost unused until I got it. I can't recommend one, but trust me, spend the money on a good one, and you won't regret it. Juicing is one of the better things you can do for your health. A favorite of mine is to juice carrots, about 1/4 to 1/2 of a beet, and a bit of apple to sweeten it if you want. Also, can't go wrong with just about any fruit juice!
  5. Look it's me! How'd you get that pic?
  6. Since I am a teenager, this will work. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/URCapache/zack2.jpg Age 19 Chrysander Says I have a nose like Link from the Legend Of Zelda video game.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/URCapache/smiley.gif
  7. My goals are to stick with the raw food diet, and hopefully build a good physique doing it, and once that's going along well, be a voice for the raw food diet.
  8. From what I've found, it's acidic, but is alkaline-forming during digestion.
  9. What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Inland North You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop." Right on the Dot.
  10. I live with an omnivore and a vegetarian.
  11. Where can I find those Vegan Bodybuilding banners for signatures on forums? I've seen some people with them.
  12. I love this community. This is the only board I've ever been on that didn't really need moderators. It's really good to see.
  13. Why not just do bodyweight stuff on the days you can't get a good workout in? Just some pushups, situps, pullups, maybe dips between a few chairs?
  14. Wow....I thought I could eat alot, you get the trophy.
  15. I make alot of fresh fruit and veggie juices. They're probably one of the best things you can do for your health. I like to make Carrot/Apple/Beet juice the best.
  16. I'm pretty sure apple seeds contain a chemical like amygdalin or somethign that is converted to cyanide in your stomach.....not a good idea.
  17. You need to use that to bribe her to make them, then give them to us. lol.. i should though..i'm only 16.. lol Can't you just see the sorrow in this boy? He needs some brownies to cheer him up, vegan style....
  18. You need to use that to bribe her to make them, then give them to us.
  19. Yes, you can't offer brownie points without offering brownies. I agree
  20. How do we earn brownie points? I've never had a vegan brownie either. Let's tally it up here, anyone else who never has? Who wants to make us some? I think SeaSiren needs to, she brought it up.
  21. Well, I'm not a poor child, not even a child, but I haven't had a vegan brownie. Anyone feel free to send some, just no laxatives or something in them. Yep, around here I get ridiculed alot for my lifestyle choice, but i'm fortunate to live near to an adventist town, which are primarily vegetarian/vegans, so it's not hard to be one, just not popular. They do sell vegan cakes and brownies at the health food store I go to, i'm just too cheap to buy them, but if someone were willing to send them, i'd have no problem with that.
