  1. Hey Topher, I love your new avatar! You look great! Without a shirt *sigh* .. nice And your smile is so much better. ... now I am not scared any more [Robert, could you put in some more smilies?!]
  2. I also liked the other avatar better. You do look pretty scary on that one, I don't dare to read your posts anymore, because I feel like this little somebody on my skin... watching and discrediting me and it is too huge... put back your abs! I liked them so much more... or put up a smile! I bet it fits perfect! Edit: plus: the headband looks pretty ... ehm... but your arms look mighty - why not post a friendlier one?

    Sin City

I know what you mean, I couldn't watch the movie about this soldier James Ryan with Tom Hanks. Everybody told me it is a good movie, but I couldn't bare the war scenes and what we in fact really do to each other day by day. I tried two times... I didn't make it. I was shocked too, that Sin City is so violent, I had to close my eyes every once in a while, but I didn't want to leave the movie. Allthough it was so violent I still found it interesting... weird, eh?!
  6. Nope, not really.. it's like there is that barrier. 2:04 is my best so far and I believe my total limit. I dot think I can beat Daywalker or myself.

    Sin City

I don't know the comic, I just heard, that it is supposed to be no more or less than the comic, that they did a pretty good job on making it as close to the comic as possible! I think everybody sympathized with Marv! The desire for revenge within ourselfs just loves him and we are glad that he doesn't just let the BAD guys run off or kill them quick. That's the impression I have. I did like all of the movie. But I still have one question: who is the guy in the very first scene and the very last. Is he a professional killer? He can be bougth from whoever likes to have somebody killed. And does not belong to any side?
  8. Check also this one for shoes: http://www.earthvegan.us/ They have great earth vegan shoes.. I just bought one pair.. I love them! But I don't know where you can buy other accessories and hand bags, I am not much of a handbag person. All that stuff is always in the way. What I have is cotton, pretty thick, but cotton and I have some animal rights patches sewed on it You could just go to a shop and ask what is not out of leather. Especially those cheap bags are normaly not leather. I know that from another girl. Usuall stores.. just ask! Have fun shopping!
  9. God in heaven WHAT A MOVIE! Has anybody seen it too?! I would love to read and/or discuss about this movie. It is one of the most brutal ones (if not the most brutal one) I have ever seen! But it is so good! I haven't read much about it before I saw it and that was good so. It was so so full of eeehhhm tension? Oh my english. Well, very very... interesting. More than intersting... you know what I mean I was thrilled! Some awesome lines and over all a very different and exciting movie! The characteres are pretty deap and unique, you know what they are thinking and that makes it even more interesting. Allthough at the beginning I wasn't so convinced about the idea of the director, but it turned out great! I was with the characters all the time and eager to know what would happen next... WHAT A MOVIE!
  10. Wow, what a thread so far! And Robert, you DO have an interesting family. I have yet to read the book, but I will look out for the name of your father. To myself: my mother became vegan too. It is so awesome! When I became vegetarian she took that for a reason to be vegetarian too, since she was thinking about that before, but my grandma is a very demanding person! And so we were two against one I became vegan about a year later and I told her about it. I was not at home, I've been in the states during that time and so she became vegan more or less by herself. She wanted to know what her daughter is doing, and after talking to me and reading a little in the w w w she was convinced herself! SO COOL! I always thought I am one of the most blessed persons, because I have never met any vegan whose perants were vegan, but to have both of them going the same path... great gift bighead!
  11. Just looked at the links... I especially like Katie Coryell and Tony Akay. They apear natural and not so faked. Would love to meet them. They seem to be very interesting people! I didn't read the article about Kristin Reisinger... "The pesco Vegetarian" that is not even Vegetarian! I hate that.. nobody who eats animal can call himself a vegetarian! That simply doesn't work... But back to the other girls: maybe I should put pictures up from them to keep me motivated!
  12. uuuuhhh, gifts! Something for freeeee There ya go: 15th of December
  13. Well, I guess she is not clean (that'd be another reason why I'd never going to look like that), but I do like the looks! And I am not sure.. maybe she is able to look like that without steroids.. who knows. Also she doesn't run around posing all day long, so I don't think it always looks that way But maybe I should find another picture of a body that I could get one day too. I'll have a look
  14. Maybe I should ask Richard to draw me too and then try to live up to it. And of course I wouldn't mind looking half that good either. But we are talking about our IDEAL, right? So this is it, although I have not much hope to ever reach it Oh.. and I have another one. It is not a real person, but I like the body very much: http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/5548/borisvallejo98nolatun8wb.th.jpg (Just click on it, if you want to have it enlarged) Maybe I should get some of the fun stuff she has... That'd be neat Uh wow.. dreams over dreams... we'll see how far I get.
  15. http://img321.imageshack.us/img321/5689/wittig18gi.jpg http://img276.imageshack.us/img276/3417/wittig36vi.jpg YES! I would love to have arms like that! http://img321.imageshack.us/img321/5893/wittig20kc.jpg That would be so awesome to look like that! Her legs seem to be pretty good, too. But I didn't find a picture where one could see them more clearly. http://img276.imageshack.us/img276/1/wittig41rr.jpg Her arms, back and legs and the abs of the "breast-wonder-lady". That would be my ideal!
  16. Hm, I don't think so, I don't think they have made a movie out of it yet, but I might be wrong... I just don't know anything about that. Just have read some of the books and it's a great fantasy sequence.. of course except of all the UN-veganism in it Greets, K
  17. Yeah, he rocks! AWESOME! If i were a girl, he'd be my type, too What we are missing in this forum is that smilyface with hearts around it... especially for this thread But we could use more smilies anyway That is my favorite! You know what Richard... you should take that pic (maybe, without the veganbodybuilding slogan) and make a poster out of it... "ALF - No justice, just us!" YEAH!
  18. All I can say: WOW! But hey, since you are into fantasy... do you know the book sequence "Wheel of time" from Robert Jordan. If not... read it and draw some of the characters. All of the pics online or even in the oficial book to it are so NOT good. I think you would do that sooooooooo much better! Keep it up! K
  19. Good work everybody... I like this thread I think next time I have to tickle Daywalker a little ..to give everybody else (including myself) the slightest bit of a chance!
  20. Welcome on board! You'll be surprised how easy it is to be vegan. Especially for ethical reasons! And have a look at what vegans can achive: viewtopic.php?t=556 Peace, K
  21. Uuuuuhh yeah! This is too awesome to be described with words YOU ROCK!
  22. Oh, I can tell a story too. A girl was so suprised that I am vegan that she choked on what she was eating and told me that I don't look like one since I am neither sick nor do I look like I am about to die because of my physical appearance and Vamprilla, we will see how much butts I can kick... so long I am working on kicking mine I am not really an IFBB fan Felix... I haven't read those magazines in quite a while, but I love muscles! On women just as much as on guys. My boyfriend brought me to this site. I don't know why I never looked myself and searched the net. I think I just dind't believe there was such a great forum out there in the www. sorry to keep me short, but I am out of town and online in a restaurant, K
  23. Oh yes, I want to become some competition for Kathryn, but that will still take a little while. I think the I will catch up first at Benchpress... but the Deads are going to be hard for me... well the Squats too... I hate 'em. Hey Robert, I also will be hanging in there to beat myself and of course Daywalker... that is a pretty good time he holds. Wow, you have organized vacations! I will try my best to come next year! @lelle: Don't know if you can call it popular... as far as I know we have in this forum you, Daywalker and me... who else? I guess veganism in general is not very popular so far... but we are all working on it, right?!
  24. Oh yes I love it too, I've always liked weights, and now I am with people who do not only work out, but are also vegan.... what more can I want ? The 63kg-cough in my post was not ment so serious, but thanks very much for the compliment I just don't like it that much, because in my head I like to see me as such a bodybuildinglady with great strength and a very low fat body and then I look at the mirror after training and.. Well... I am working on it and I will not stay at 63 kg.. I hope at least not with the same percentage of fat *nod* I allready saw the table in veganfitness.net and are registered at the forum... I have the goal to work my way up to the first 3... we will see how that works! Great work from Kathryn!!! I'll post my pbs there later I think. Thanks, you two for the encouragement. I can't wait to see the gym again! And Jonathan: German is a pretty hard language in my eyes, so I am impressed!
  25. Hey y'all! Now it's my turn! I'm from Germany and have allready been vegan for 4 years now! I love it I basically just started with weight lifting. After my first atempt last year I had some problems with my back and could not train any more for so long that I now consider it a new start. The tiny bit I might have achieved during the short time of training last year was definitively totally gone! My new start is about 7 months ago and I love it. I am very lazy though and sometimes I have a hard time getting my ass up, but I want to see some more improvement and I therefore am very motivated right now. It's not bad so far. I always wanted to go to the gym, had several magazines at home, had posters from big bodybuilders at the walls, worked at a fitness-center as part time job besides school, but I never made it to be working out good. When I started working out in a little gym, when I was 13, everybody just laughed at me and I was very discouraged with all those huge guys around me and no female. With 16 another try failed, because I was extremly shy. BUT NOW ALL THIS IS OVER and I'm getting myself in shape Last training I tried out what my personal bests are and here we go: Bench: 37,5 kg (82,7 Pounds - calculated with a online calculater) Squat: 45 kg (99,2 Pounds) Deadlift (stiffed leg): 50 kg (110,2 Pounds) Bodyweight *cough* is: 63kg (138,9 Pounds) Yes, that's the way it is. Without this forum (to post my PB) I would have never tried to figure out, and now I can see how I improve! I like that. I am here to keep me motivated, exchange ideas and experience and to see that not all Bodybuilder are meat eating monsters! That I can talk with people about bodybuilding and fitness without always having to discuss the basics of my lifestyle! So far from me now, K
