  1. Hi Marcina, Yeah some days I workout so hard I get so relaxed a couple hours later, that I can just want to sit around and do nothing. Sorry about the second hand smoke, I smoked myself off and on, but will never smoke again. Too many people I know are getting sick from it now. I am grateful that our lungs can clean themself if there is no damage. I hope you are free from the smoke now.
  2. Good Idea, I never really thought about that. Thanks a bunch
  3. Wow it never even crossed my mind not to wear a helmet cycling. But oddly I will get on a motorcycle without one. go figure. I just started road cycling last year (probably 20 years since I did outdoor cycling) Participated in the Tour the Cure 50k last month but my first major tour is in November, the El Tour De Tucson. 108 miles, I don't know about this lol I am not the best endurance athlete, but when the Tour gets closer I will have some training and nutritional questions for you all.

    Kale

Yummy Kale, Heck I just eat it, but love the recipes here. I am going to try a couple of them forsure. This is pretty simple, Kale with hummus, tomatoes and scallions in a whole grain pita. I use calorie free dressing with it, but veganaise is great too if you still need your fat for the day.
  5. Thanks SyrLinus, Tuc and Lean and green. I couldn't ask for a better welcome. I still am learning the Vegan way, but I love it Tuc that is interesting, I am going to read up more on B12 Mike thanks for the update Lean and Green, what can I say to your comment, but God bless you I really need to get off my butt here and get some exercise. Be Cool!
  6. Oh to respond about BBQ's, I love them, my husband isn't going to give up meat just yet. What I love about bbq's is the enviroment, the fun that goes along with them. I just make myself an assortment of veggies to cook, I am happy Although kind of gross to watch others nawing on meat, it is also a good opportunity to explain why I am not eating any of it. It would be wonderful to have a few Vegan friends to cook out with.
  7. What a cute question. I am an Apple forsure I love all fruit but I eat more Apples than any other fruit, and we are what we eat.
  8. I eat about 80% raw, but love my beans, and from what I have read, beans should be cooked to get the full benefits of the enzymes. Same with potatoes. But I am going to start sprouting my own stuff soon and dehydrating. I live in Tucson so fresh foods is not always available. We do have a famers market the buys much of their produce from local farms so I figure I should buy in bulk and start dehydrating fruits. They are so cheap when in season and my goal it to eat living foods as much as possible.
  9. Hi Mike, Thanks or your reply. I would love to hear what you find out. Thank goodness we can suppliment, not sure I am up for eating dirt lol I never really thought of Carnitine, because I get my essential amino acids from Hemp. Cool that you grew up in Tucson. My family and I have been here 5 years now and love it. We are from the Illinois and Indiana.
  10. I know this is a rather old topic here, but I just have to post. I am a cat lover big time and know a lot about cats. Cats are Carnivores, to force them on a vegan diet is really doing them a huge injustice, it is not healthy for them. I am a Vegan mainly for Animal Right. So to force my cats on a vegan diet is taking away their right to eat meat. Oh someone mentioned something along the line that we took cats out of their natural domain. Actually that is not accurate, reseach is showing that orginally Cats came to us, they seen a good thing I guess lol I am in search of a organic cat food that they will eat though. I keep trying products that they don't care for. But willl keep searching because I don't want to contribute to abuse of our farm animals that was the whole point of going Vegan to begin with.
  11. HI, This is an interesting question. I sure am not ashamed of my muscles, but when I go home to visit family back in Illinois I am kind of ashamed that I am in such good shape, when the rest of my family is very out of shame. I know this is not my problem and I offer my help, but won't force it. Just makes me feel like I am the black sheep.
  12. Hi Everyone, I found this site a few weeks ago with my search for a Vegan Bodybuilding website, but decided today to start chatting with everyone and getting to know other people who share the same interests and passions. I have been weightlifting for about 14 years now, I am not naturally muscular at all, I have to work hard for every oz. I have only been a Vegan for a couple months, before that I was a vegetarian who ate eggs and dairy. I decided to become a vegetarian for ethical/moral reasons not health reasons. Although I believe that humans are suppose to eat a Omnivorous diet (if we were not, plant food would provide V B12 somewhere, since it doesn't I have no choice but to believe we suppose to eat animal occasionally). However, humans are Greedy Gluttons who have abused their rights on this planet. I am Vegan because I stand up for the Animals who have and are being abused for consumption, entertainment, lab testing and used for cloths, shoes etc. I have no choice in the matter. Until the day I see that we as humans have learned not to abuse and disregard all living things on earth I shall remain a Vegan. Beth
  13. I am still working on a good balance to lose more bodyfat. It was so much easier when I ate lean meat that is forsure. But I love a challenge
  14. Hello People, Right now I am training to lose more bodyfat, so I am focusing on HIIT 3 times a week and of course supersetting my weight lifting (6 day split). I still do traditional cardio 3/4 times a week too. Really my workouts are not a problem, it is finding the right nutritional formula without having to eat a bunch of Soy processed products.[/b] I truely believe that at least 80% of success come from your food program.
