  1. WOW, great photos ~ thanks for sharing =) A Kitchen is my favourite part of a house and yours is awesome!
  2. I want to take a bite out of my computer right now.... YUM! I love simplicity in recipes...
  3. I usually shop alone because according to certain folks, when I shop in the supermarkets, apparently I take WAY too long because I instinctively read all the ingredients even if I've bought the items before =) Oh, and I did not know that about cholesterol either! I learn something new every time I sign on to the forum here.
  4. Isn't there a picture of The Fruitarian One doing the exact same thing, but on the side of a building?!?!?! Anyway, I've heard that pole dancing is great for building strength and agility... now I just have to explain that to my parents whenever they come and visit!
  5. Welcome! Your website looks cool ~ I will have to go through it when I am not at work. For some reason, some parts of it is restricted at my work station =(
  6. Err... no Err... no, me neither LOL! Welcome Jo, nice to see you here
  7. WHAT?!? Not that I drink alcohol very much, but when I do have my occasional beer I normally drink Guinness. What's not vegan about Guinness?
  8. Crystal, you must really love spinach!! Since I've discovered kale, that is my staple greens these days... I need to eat it almost everyday or else I start to feel somewhat deprived (depraved?) VeganPotter, I don't know if I could dumpster dive for food. I did it once in San Fran and I felt "weird" about it. However, I did make some amazing banana bread to last me a couple of weeks. I've never tried kale with banana ~ I must try it soon. The freegan concept is pretty interesting though, there is so much good food wastage these days and overconsumption... blah!
  9. Hey everyone! I will visiting Santa Fe during the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend. I know that it's the holiday weekend, so alot may be closed. I need to plan in advance, so I have two questions... (1) Does anyone know of any raw vegan or vegan friendly restaurants there? (2) Any suggestions of places to stay (reasonable rates) or take me in (LOL)? Thanks in advance! ~Honey
  10. Thank you and yes, I saw you first on myspace (I liked reading your blogs) and glad to know that you are here as well. =) btw, if my personal trainer looked like your avatar... I would be ship shape in no time at all!!!!!
  11. Half? I'm thinking you would eat more than that. My dad has always said to me that even if you are on a budget or low in funds, never chince (sp?) out on food ~ but then, if you are smooth enough to get your roomie to make it for you, all the better. Maybe I should get a roomie...
  12. Last week my local farmer invited all his shareholders to an organic bbq and a tour of their farm. It was really fun and it's great knowing where my food comes from and how it was grown. I've heard many people talking about Trader Joes. It must be an American thing, I've never heard of them! Isn't that called "Freeganism"? It's getting popular these days in certain cities. Alex... two words for ya, Kale and Pineapple! YUM!
  13. Anything chocolate, I'm there!! Thx for this recipe. I absolutely LOVE recipes with photos. For one thing, I love visuals and secondly i get an idea of what the end result is supposed to look like!
  14. What I've learned about VeganPotter on this site: He has a humongous appetite, especially for Vega, pb and icecream. Do photos of you exist without food (beside your avatar)??!?!?
  15. Thanks for the clarification... no wonder I had no clue, but I figured the figures had to do with bodybuilding and fitness =)
  16. Thanks for your comments ~ the vegan issue just never ocurred to me until recently when someone I was visiting had this incense holder with mother of pearl inlay on it.
  17. What are your thoughts on the use and purchase of Mother of Pearl? I'm thinking it's not Vegan... a mollusk? I couldn't find any info on the net. Do companys harvest these living creatures and end their life to acquire the hard shiny lining that protects them from micro-organisms?
  18. Bonjour and welcome from Toronto!
  19. LOL that's funny! I made a mistake by googling for the contact info for a cafe called Hot House... all kinds of funny site links and scary pop ups came up on my screen @ work!!!
  20. Hey Addy, good to see you are on this site as well =)
  21. Welcome James ~ good luck on your real estate deal =) According to this forum, Portland must be the place to go for Veg*ns!!! ps. I like scrawney guys (in general). LOL
