  1. Hey all, The full range of Strength Shop belts have come down in price by about 15%. This was due to savings made with the suppliers, so we've passed it on. These really are great belts, I've never heard a bad word said about them, and they now offer even better value for money than before - http://www.strengthshop.co.uk/index.php ... lt&x=0&y=0
  2. Ordering is the same as laying down with the buzz really Imo - lever better if you need to just pop it on and off, like for certain events or lifts. Buckle better for general useage. But honestly, both are awesome, whichever you will get you will fall in love with it straight away and be stroking it a lot. Guaranteed to make your girlfriend (or boyfriend) jealous
  3. I will be selling them on an ongoing basis, so it's not just a one off batch or anything, but I expect all the hungry vegans who've been holding out for one for ages to snap them up I haven't used a leather PL belt before, but both the buckle and lever ones are great, makes a big difference when training certain lifts. Folk that have been using leather ones for years, and were scpetical of these (as was I a little ) are generally really impressed by them. Sure they'll be a hit with the meaties as well as the vegan posse!
  4. After many years of trying in various ways to get some kind of decent vegan powerlifting belt made, which meets all the IPF spec/criteria, and many failed attempts, I've finally managed to get them done. It's a supplier I use for other stuff, and have had samples of both the 10mm lever belt, and the 13mm double prong buckle belt, which I've been using for a couple of weeks, and which are fooking awesome! They're made from Lorica, and really mimic leather belts well, the main difference being that they're not quite as rigid (which I personally prefer) but still offer a huge amount of support when training. Anyway, they are now on their way and UK bound! They're live on the site, and expected here next Friday or so. Anyone wishing to do so can order now, and they'll be sent out as soon as they arrive. Postage shouldn't be hideous outwith the UK as they're under 2kg each. If you're ordering more than one, the postage is calculated automatically, so it'll probably work out cheaper to order them singly, but feel free to give me a shout to see if there's a cheaper way (courier etc). Will get some better pics up as well. Though those boys in the pics are pretty damn fine As a special tight fisted Scottish boy bonus I'm giving all you lucky people 5% off for the next month (til 19th December). Just use the discount code 'iwanttolaydownwithbuzz' (because you all do, don't fight it) at the checkout. As I couldn't work out how to apply it to one specific product, you'll get the 5% off your total order. Generous eh http://www.vegansportshop.co.uk/index.php/powerlifting-belts.html Any questions feel free to pm me or post here about them.
  5. Phil, thanks for the order! Shipping to Germany is FAST, and I'm sure you are enjoying the protein bars already Robert - thanks for your support man, much appreciated! It's going pretty well, but to be honest, the strength/strongman stuff is selling much better, so I will be focussing on that mainly for the foreseeable future, whilst continuing to be fully vegan, and carry the vegan supplements, protein powder, builders bars, and protein bars etc. Have 30% off all the Veganicity supplements at the moment - http://www.vegansportshop.co.uk/index.php/supplements.html
  6. Hey Phil, Just to let you know, that's the glucosamine back in stock now!
  7. Yeah, glucosamine will be back in stock either today, or very early next week - we are just waiting for a delivery. Supplement range will also increase a bit, and continue to do so over time. Thanks Robert, that would be awesome! We are really just trying to get word out just now, and build things up slowly but steadily, hopefully offering products that can be hard to find (like the vegan protein bars), at prices lower than in the majority of retail outlets.
  8. The chocolate and sweet stuff is for carb replacement after training of course I think dip belts are pretty easy to get elsewhere, but if you want one we can look at sourcing them if you want. Lifting belts, again, it's easy to get vegan belts from other retailers. We had a proper mock powerlifting belt made, but the costing was too high to warrant getting a batch made. We've got one in a size s/m and are happy to sell if anyone wants it though. We'll look into them again in the future, but most companies aren't interested because of the relatively small scale of the production. Will also look into the vit D, it's a good idea for those of us starved of sun in the winter time
  9. Good stuff, will do a duplicate post as suggested! I will look into the vegan tennis ball situation. As far as I remember, a few folk have looked into obtaining them before, but to no avail!
  10. Hey all, Just to let all you VBB'ers know, we have now just launched an online store www.vegansportshop.co.uk It is not aimed/intended to compete with Veganessentials in any way, and is more aimed at bringing products to the UK/European folk, but shipping is available worldwide. It is now live, and ready to accept orders, and whilst we are still ironing it out, and tweaking it a little, it should be running fine. We are selling the high protein bars on there, which some of you may have sampled already, along with a range of other goods/products. Have a look about, and if there are any bugs or problems that anyone notices, please post about it. Also if there are any suggestions as to what products/goods you would like to see available then please let us know, and we will do our best to increase/alter the range accordingly. We will be stocking a good range of the Veganicity supplements, but will have more stock towards the end of the week. Again, if there are any suggestions as to which supplements to carry, please just let us know. p.s. - mods, feel free to move this thread to the classifieds, but I just thought it would be good to have it in general, even for a few days for extra exposure - hope this is ok!
  11. That's pretty deep tbh, and it looks a bit like the weight has shifted onto his toes rather than being on his heels as it should be. Knees have come pretty far out over his feet. Go 3-4 inches higher than that and you should be good tho.
  12. Aye, mine fluctuate quite a bit, but i think if they're low for a wee while it's not a disaster. I still make decent gains during these times. I take maca and saw palmetto on and off, to boost them. There's a fair chance that some of the guys on the other forums you mentioned are people who've been using gear, which generally depleted natural test production and base level test over time.
  13. Aye, decent advice form the other guys. If you are just looking to shift more weight, it depends on where your sticking point is on them, but I generally just do push press and then bench (with a grip the same width as overhead grip) on the other day. I'll usually stick in either thick bar overhead/thick dumbell overhead, or log, on the third day just coz I like them so much Post a video if you can, for some technique tips.
  14. Damn right you should have!! Give us a shout next time man, always welcome for some training or to crash for a night or two.
  15. Good solid progress dude. How much weight have you put on??
  16. Looks like basically a standard linear progression bench program, but quite detailed/complex with specific rest times. Not sure if it's a 17 wk program, hmm, yeah, i think it is, but imo it should be brought in a bit, like bench twice a week and make it a 8 1/2 wk one, and also cut out some of the days over 90%, as otherwise he's going over 90% for five sessions in a row, six if there's a max attempt at the end. Guess this is maybe ok if it's done twice a week, but could well burn out before the end depending on what level they are at (weights, experience, etc).
  17. I find this shit really offensive. I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but why do you think the size of a country have anything to do with it's status?
  18. Hey dude, if you want that invite to remain intact be careful about your British geography Of course, England is a country, but not an island as it is joined to Scotland and Wales, which are also countries.....
  19. Really interesting post andesuma. Since becoming vegan I have always been very yin, even though i avoid almost all extreme yin foods, unless it's really hot (not very often in scotland ) It puts me off eating raw, and I basically don't really eat any fruit (too yin like you say) unless i am nearer the equator (on holiday etc). As far as fruit are concerned apples are neutral i know, and maybe pears are close too, plums maybe also though i am not certain about these. As a general rule i eat stuff that's in season, so apples most of the year, pears and plums sometimes, and soft fruit in summer when it's a bit warmer. This is probably just my philosophy rather than tcm though You can also add yang to foods by cooking, so if you wanted to eat more fruit could cook it and make it more yang in the process. Whoops, but you were talking about raw, so this is no good. My personal opinion is that generally raw/fruitarian diets are more suitable for people who are more yang, and or living in warm(er) climates.
  20. Bullshit deal man. Tell them to fuck off, go out in style by peeing in the watercooler, and come join the Edinburgh cult where we all live on fresh air, earth and rocks Hope it works out whatever happens.
  21. Shouldn't be that hard to get. Not sure about making it, never tried. Maybe health/wholefood shops, or even ethnic shops?? It's a bit sickly but the fastest way to consume 400 calories
  22. Nuts, nut bars (check for high calorie before purchase), halva (great amount of calories in a little block), and smoothies.
  23. I reckon your current split looks good, but Jono's suggested plan is ok too if you fancy a change. I wouldn't bother with chins twice a week though, and don't reckon seated dumbell shoulder press is a great plan after push pressing. Depends on how much volume you like to do?
  24. I wish I'd seen what you said about us before the edit Yes, real vegans being silly and making fun of ourselves mostly. Had no idea the fame and recognition it would bring... It certainly has much more views than all my other youtube videos combined
  25. Aye, thanks tons Rob, much appreciated Nice pic Crystal - so many thumbs and biceps Where are the rest though??
