I am still busy and still working out a lot! I found a friend to go to the gym with me and that is a lot of fun. I did and 202020 on Friday I did not work out this weekend because I was so sore I went to a convention for my sorority on saturday and thank goodness they had vegan food. Monday I am running and doing abs. Tuesday is beginning Salsa, kickboxing and 20/20/20. (202020 is cardio/ weights/ abs)

Gov. Palin Shoots Animals With Her Daughter (Graphic!)

She threatens to sue if we put polar bears and belugas on the endangered species list....so she can drill in alaska She doesn't believe in global warming She wants to teach intelligent design in school She does not believe in evolution This woman could be a heartbeat away from the presidency..... Hunting is the least of her faults! -
The problem with the republican party is that they make no provisions for rape, incest or the health of the mother. That is unacceptable. In those situations I don't see how anyone could deny a woman her right to choose. Yes there will be some people who abuse that right but that goes along with everything. For instance Gun control I believe in the right to bear arms even though some Americans abuse that right. I believe in doing everything we can to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. But I would never vote for gun ownership to be illegal. Republicans are so staunch about their gun rights yet they want to take away our right to choose with no provisions just black and white across the board. Guns Kill way more people in America than abortions. I cannot stand the hypocrisy. I am a independent I don't choose sides but I can't see myself voting republican anytime soon.

The Republicans want to re-classify when life begins...As of now life begins when the egg implants into the uterus...The reclassification would reclassify the term when life begins to when the egg is fertilized. Birth control( the pill IUD ) works in two ways 1. preventing an egg from being released 2.Making the uterus a hostile place for the egg and therby a fertilized egg being discarded. This reclassification would make the pill and other forms of hormonal birth control forms of abortion. This can block women's access to birth control and create more unwanted pregnancies and perhaps eventually make birth control illegal. It is not about reducing the number of unwanted pregnancies the religious conservatives just want thier agendas taken care of. I agree everything should be done to avoid unwanted pregnancies included increased access to birth control and comprehensive sex education for teens and free counseling for young and unwed pregnant women to educate them on the alternatives to abortion. However making it illegal and perhaps in the future making birth control illegal is blurring the lines between church and state and imposing someones moral beliefs on the united states. If this right goes away they will just go after more and more until we are being taught intelligent design in a classroom and stem cell research has gone to a halt. I went off on a tangent but you get the idea...there was a time when church and state were one...it was called the Dark Ages.....

OY Vey!! it has been a long time since I updated this!!! I started taking a class called boot camp and am training for a half marathon. In boot camp we run two miles and then do a bunch of other polymetric and running exercises for an hour...It is so hard. I am starting out with two miles and going up from there. I am trying to eat as healthy as I can during my training. Eating a few more carbs than usual. Has anyone ever done carb loading before endurance training does it work? Um on a nonfitness note I have been working alot I am a singer and am in two bands now plus I teach voice lessons and work at publix and go to school full time....hence my absence of late...yipes I have alot on my plate.

Well...keeping an online food and exercise journal is much more difficult than I thought..... this week. Monday:Spin/ABS Tuesday:Spin Circuit training I don't remember what I ate I will post that today
-
Well I certainly have been lazy in updating my log. I was a little depressed last week because I was sick and I looked like I had some kind of awful disease. and I was afraid to work out hard at all... However the red marks on my face faded and I hit the gym pretty hard this week. Monday I did spin and abs Tuesday spin and circuit training Wednesday kick boxing and abs Thursday spin and 20/20/20 so far so good! By the way if anyone finds themselves violently ill try to breathe through your nose while puking..to avoid the aforementioned unpleasantness.

Harold and Kumar 2...it was pretty funny except they shot a C.G. deer in the movie.plc...That pissed me off. I hate animal violence in movies...It drives me nuts!! Pet Cemetery,I am legend,Bambi,Star wars,The ring... and it goes on like this...there was this one movie that came out this guy was killing kittens on the internet. The only requirement for a movie to be decent in my opinion is lack of animal violence. I don't get mad when people(adults) die in movies...I'm deranged.Well actually because most of the violence in movies(except war movies which I refuse to watch either!)is fake violence...whereas people shooting deer and skinning rabbits happens on a daily basis the movie reminds me and I just get upset.I just hate violence I am not desensitized to it. oh...and I thought I wanted to see "wanted" till I saw the preview and some of the movie takes place in a meat Locker....Damn!

Free range chickens and Cage free eggs are no better off than regular eggs. They are still subject to the painful de-beaking process made to sit in their own excrement given exuberant amount of hormones and the male chicks are still destroyed. Cage -free is a buzz word used to lure consumers into a peaceful nights sleep. Buy continuing to use eggs the Cooks are sending a message it is ok to abuse animals for our own gain and have done nothing for the animals. How do you know they weren't paid by the cage free egg companies? How can vegans defend these cruel actions? Nothing has been gained by these stunts except more suffering. I still think people who cannot kill animals themselves have more compassion and ability to be compassionate they have just been brainwashed by those who profit off killing animals. When I was an omni I could have never hurt an animal I ate meat because I was a child brainwashed by my relatives that eating meat was ok and animals were for eating...I got violent opposition from my family and everyone else I knew that I was told I would I would be sick and weakly..I stopped eating all animal products when I was 12 but was literally forced back into consuming eggs and dairy by my family.....It took a few years after I moved out on my own to break free of the hype...Do you really think a person that can slit a lambs throat or go hunting for sport is going to come to the same conclusion anytime soon?

Search for the thread "vitamin b12 defficiency" there is a link to the article....it mentions what you are talking about and said it was disproved and we can absorb it....I am not saying it is true..It was written by a raw foodist. I will have to do a search and see if anyone else has come to that conclusion. http://www.living-foods.com/articles/b12issue.html here you go -
I did about 45 minutes of kickboxing yesterday which was great...they started on abs and I left..no blood rushing to my head...I ran on the elliptical doing interval training for a half hour. I have been trying to eat really good because I am not exercising as much....I weighed myself I lost 2lbs since sunday...but that was probably water weight from being sick. I ate Breakfast: 1 vans vegan waffle 1.5 tbsp peanut butter 1 glass soymilk 1 small banana snack:1 granola bar Lunch :vegan wrap w/ deli "turkey" and vegan cheese carrot sticks and hummus 1 nectarine snack:luna bar Dinner : kaishi frozen black bean meal

I just read an article about b12...to make a long story short it said (the thread is vitamin b12) A...most deficiencies are caused by innadequate absorption b. we make our own b-12 c. anything that contains b complex has b-12(not just meat...the b12 was made in the bodies of animals) d. meat eaters become defficient too e. the rda is set much higher than we actually need due to the fact alot of b12 gets destroyed by the standard american diet and antibiotic use f. Low blood levels can mean healthy cells are utilizing the b12 not that you are defficient there goes the b12 argument right out the window (if true) how do herbivores get b12...they must be able to synthesize it....and we have that ability too...I think I agree with the stance that our lifestyle can destroy the vitamin...but I have to do more research. -

Marcina you should read the article....it pretty much screws up that whole "teeth theory" but I wouldn't use the info to get into an argument about it just for your edification. Why start fights? -
