  1. No Robert not on there... my training is for the animals... and for ignorant people out there to get educated. I want to be the image of thin, cut and healthy. When people debate that Vegan diet is unhealthy or deficient I will be like really lets compare your body type with mine. I am inspired. This is why I am not trying to add anything to enhance muscle. I want straight food and no BS. The other day for the first time some guy at the gym 20 something kid fit came to me and asked me about my pull up ab routine that I was doing. It made me feel that the hard work was paying off and people want to learn. I want to make it clear to non vegans out there that I am lifting with food as my fuel. This is so people can't go oh well you added this chemical, muscle enhancer proteins or fueler which is why you got cut... I will be able to say, "no!" I got this way just on plant food alone and not even spending hours upon hours in the gym. By the way Brendan's book is awesome I just received it about a week ago. I got his updated version. I was like holy this is almost like my diet. Great recipes... good ideas and good explanations to foods. Anyway I have been a bit annoyed at my new job talk about meat eating as it was so natural to eat and kill animals It is fueling my fire. In my head I am like ... Now you will see what Vegans are all about. A lot of people here inspire me, really I mean that. From peoples words to physics. Top names to mention being: Robert, Octopussier, Lean and Green, Hillary, and all those who push do something to get people to think Veganism as awesome and not some trend or sickly overweight or horribly thin and malnourished. GO VEGANS!!
  2. My diet pretty much is similar to Brendan's Thrive diet with less oil and not so much fruit. I am starting to add more fruit back in smoothie form (rasberries, kiwi, banana, fresh squeezed orange juice)
  3. Yeah right Octopussior ... When I saw you last for the comp you had some pretty damn good physic and killer abs... You inspire.
  4. Things that were different this time... Started to do pull ups more often... Laid off the dips a little because I had some pectoral strain from doing too many. Added 30 lbs shoulder weights and handstand push ups against a wall. I added more legs and became less lazy about it. Break once a week now instead of two because I just had no luck with dance bars because they keep stopping us from breaking. Still 30 minutes of gym time 3 times a week sometimes if I am lucky 4. No creatine, no protein shakes... just lots of greens specially dehydrated wheat grass with fresh OJ. Bought Spirulina and chlorrella dehydrated and add it to oat milk and raw cacao. Been doing this since day one. No muscle enhancing formulas just natures food. I stay about 60 percent raw with sprouted wheat bagels being the main part that is baked. Acocado is a staple food in my diet as well as kale they would be the two things that I consume on a daily basis and the wheat grass. I think it was Brendan Brazier who said plant proteins specially greens have awesome ready available amino acids which are quick to repair muscle. It really works. Greens and more greens. I have almost no soreness or pain. I do think I could workout a little harder. Anyway... food is my fuel. 6-7 hours daily of rest.
  5. Nice tuc! I see hard work pays off... funny thing is people think vegans can't build muscle.... oh ha ha hha ahaha hah !!! That's a joke. Tuc, ... I heard this quote about Robert before "that is just genetic..." that is what I heard from someone at the vegfest when I was working the VBB table.
  6. Monsanto just had a advertisement on WTOP radio the other day... I made my blood boil.
  7. People not communicating properly or not being very straight forward, and not respecting my time. Most of all Meat talk... when people bost about eating meat or killing animals for recreation. That stuff stress me out. Solution to the first problem ... not rely on others and only count on yourself. Answer to the second well I try to meet up wit other vegans as much as possible... Besides that I am pretty easy going and don't get that stressed. oh and working out.
  8. Everyone is it is totally cool that you have your own opinion! Awesome. My two cents are basically if it something that makes people go vegan .... then I am all for it. Veganism is the best thing that has happened to me in this lifetime... I can't see how anyone would quit being Vegan... which I hear once in a while. I guess those people never understood veganism... more than a fad or quick fix diet. Vegans kick BUTT
  9. yeah lean and green you may post pics on your site. These comps are fun. I am even more motivated now. I would like to thank fellow VBB competitors and voters. I think with out your ambition and competitive edge this comp would not be as exciting. Get in that gym or that playground and lets get to show these meat eaters who's boss. Awesome Awesome competition. Vegan 4 Life (<---- whmmm t-shirt idea)
  10. Don't worry no real spoilers. Basically good movie for people who don't have a clue yet about the food industry. Some scenes of animal cruelty... good for people to get a bit of it. Was minor to the real stuff that happens day to day but some images of animals getting killed or dying. Government lobbying and farmers put out of work because of Monsanto. Overall no mention of true eco problems... and it tends to favor people's health rather than speciesism. Makes me not want to ever buy anything made by big corp ever... Feel like it makes me want to go local or small farm.

  12. how long is the voting comp open till Richard?
  13. It taking some time but I will prove that a 2000 under calorie diet average protein intake will still push muscle growth with good rest and a hard workout. I know when I over eat because food stays in the stomach too long. I think that is the problem. I myself need to focus on eating food more often and small amounts. This uses less resources and energy on the body to breakdown the food an yields the same good results. On a average digestion is the most nutrient thief in the body in order to help the body liquify the food to digest. More smoothies and more soups probably easier way to get calories and less work for the digestive track. End result left over energy to push at the gym and recover. Just thoughts
  14. Robert ... coool! do you have these?
  15. My girlfriend told me that her brother was going on a red meat eating rampage to build muscle. She showed him this site and he refuses to believe it. He will not hear anything other than that. Most people by now should know red meat being high in saturated fat and cholesterol and is terrible for your health. I notice that for some even as vegan would do anything too be big even if it taxed their health. Do you think this is an obsession out of control and it is just how it is or do you think health comes first and then building muscle? --- I would say for me, I choose health as number one. Muscle is a result of good eating and hard workout.
  16. gracias; I think people worked hard here. I ran into a weight lifter who was questioning going vegan but was not sure or convince that vegans could really build muscle. He saw my VBB shirt and was like wow.... he and his girl were very curious and I decided to direct them to this site. I think they will believe.
