Aside from the toxic materials in vaccines, what about the use of eggs in some vaccines, do ya'll still take those?

My college in Texas had a whole service line for vegans/vegetarians. I think PETA puts out some list of the schools with the best veg food programs.

Joe, no I wasn't kidding at all. I think its inconsistent to be against the consumption of one animal product but not another.

If you are going to consume something that bees produce you might as well at least consume dairy. It's a problem of consistency. Why would you eschew one animal product but consume another?

I don't think the elected officials represent anyone but themselves. The reps scoffed at not having the bailout, the war is unpopular, etc. Look at the approval ratings Joe provided. The elected officials are just a gang out for themselves. I think the real education folks should get is to just stop believing in the government myth. We really are fine ourselves and don't need a whole lot of people making decisions for us. Whatever revolution you are referring to is not going to come from the ballet box, i'm not saying it will come from violence, but the political system is meant to just feed itself, that's the structure. The best thing to do is to circumvent it; live your own life and be happy.

If you're dying in a hospital using resources some board made up of bureaucrats whether they work for the state or a private company are going to decide its not cost effective to keep you alive. My feeling with health care is you just don't get what you pay for.

I don't think I've ever seen her with a gun. That would be a sight though.

In all seriousness, considering how Obama is just carrying on his predecessors foreign policies, I think GWB should be getting the award or maybe Cheyene.

A law requiring service to others is just a form of slavery. Private hospitals not supported by government dollars shouldn't be required to care for people anymore than restaurants have to serve people.

i consume smart balance peanut butter regularly. Also I think avocados are a good source of efa's. Hemp also. Gotta love hemp. I have not had chia seeds plain but I've purchased a protein powder which contained them and it's delicious.

Working around the system... Counter economics/agorism, community action, working under the table, barter, black markets, DIY, etc.

I liked the piece drew and I can't agree more that we can only control ourselves. VO is an excellent group and I wish I had come to realize I had no control over others sooner than I did. I've burned some bridges and lost some friends for being that pushy outspoken vegan. To live and learn I guess...

I don't think the KKK were really labeled terrorists until fairly recently in our history. The mainstream media of the day in the 1800's was not featuring articles about how the KKK are terrorists. Of course what they were doing was terrorism. It's taken a paradigm shift to where most accept people as people regardless of color to recognize terrorism can happen to anyone.

Ryofire has a fair point. Many of us were born in the states and that makes us americans, but it's my belief that just because I was born somewhere no one is entitled to rule me nor does it obligate me to serve anyone. It's a shame that people are classified based on what gang claims ownership of them. I'm not a slave nor a surf for some feudal lord, and nobody else should be one either. I wish people would stop thinking thinking otherwise.

 

I agree that persecution happens to all of us, and I also agree with propaghandi's notion. All I was saying was (good-heartedly) that, regardless of the fact that your point rings true relative to people with different ideas about government, it's funny to hear a white male from North America sort of say "Let me tell you about persecution!"

I get what you're saying. Initially I was just approaching the term persecution to mean acceptance of political ideas in recent times. It is good that we could examine the different facets and history of persecution though.

I have those debby miers green bags, but haven't used em yet. I would put em in the fridge but I dont like bananas cold for some reason.

I have the right to protest and do a whole host of other things regardless. Government does not give rights only privilege.
