  1. I only lift every other day so Tuesday and Friday are the only days this week I'll be doing push-ups; my muscles need time to recover. I think I'm going to stay out of this challenge because weightlifting is more important and I don't lift until the afternoons; I only do push-ups in the evening; I think 100 consecutive push-ups better suits the needs of a martial artist. Also, I got bored, it became to easy doing one-hundred in 2 sets of 10 over time last night. I want to start doing weight push-ups. Maybe I'll start doing burpees, althought I couldn't do them on my knuckles. That's your call boss. You started this challenge.
  2. Why did you suggest cutting out wheat products entirely? They're a good source of fiber and protien. I know wheat products have quite a bit of carbs, but if eaten in small portions and moderation a few servings/day won't fatten a person up.

  11. Day 1: I don't think you need to do three vertical pulling exercises in the same session. Pick one and drop the Lat Pulldowns. Day 2: You have too many exercises, 5 consecutive, that work the triceps. Do bicep curls on Day 1 back day. What are Shoulder-ups? Handstand push-ups? Day 3: Do calf raises after you squat, lunge, and SLDL if you feel the need to do a calve isolation exercise.

  16. Uh, you and Phil ain't the only people on this board. You should change the title of this thread to the 5-day max push-up challenge so folks don't confuse it with a 1-day max or consecutive Push-up Challenge.

  20. I agree with wobblylifter. 3 compound exercises no more than 4 a session is all you need. Do exercises that give you the most bang for your buck. Pulling exercises work your biceps and pushing exercises work your triceps. I do ab/core work no more than twice a week. 2-3 low rep weighted ab/core exercises 10 to 15 minutes max, 2-3 minute rest b/t sets. There are two day a week routines that are effective. Edit: If a person only did two weighted exercises the Clean and Press and Kettlebell Swings 3 days a week along with HIIT or Tabata they would practically work every muscle group in the body and could get strong and lean with proper nutrition.

  22. Why don't you do your biceps on back day and triceps on bench day instead of doing an arm day? There ain't much left as far as exercises. It looks like you've done them all.
