  3. You can get fat on raw foods especially if your health is severly copmpremised in the right places or if your mental/emotional state is not healthy or positive! Heck...you can get fat/big on anything if you abuse yourself long enough. F1
  4. Hey party people, just thought I'd pass by and say hi..... Richard
  5. Thanks guys, I've grown to like and develope much respect for people here, Vegan potter, I've got much respect for you man....I've hit you up on your myspace! Flanders77 my good buddy, I'm sure I'll catch you on my board, I've no doubts about that so I'll see you soon, but for me the where-does-vbb-go-discussion was not healing for me at all because I've seen that behaviour so many times and when that negative crap sets in it just sets an ugly tone that just ends up driving raw foodists away, infact I've never seen a raw food section on a non-raw food forum work that well, infact it made me realise that this place is not where I need to be right now as far as the raw lifestyle section is concerned and that I'm in a completely different place as far as my fitness and the Fruitarian lifestyle is concerned and I really have no business being here, those that know me know that I created my own board for active raw vegans/Fruitarians so they don't have to go through all the debating crap and can get on with enjoying their lifestyle and that's what I need to carry on doing, I need to be happy where I'm at and being the way I am and with the tone of the forum going the way it is I've just not been happy or felt free to share my experiences here of late, like I say it's me and where I'm at more than anything, I'm not expecting anybody to know where I'm coming from or to agree with what I'm rambling about but either way, I wish you guys the best.
  6. You guys take care, I won't be posting here any more because I don't like the tone of the board any more, I was gonna just go but I wanna say "see ya" to the older members that know me and give respect where respect is due, I won't name names coz you know if your my buddy or not and if you wanna stay in touch you know where to find me, so ...SEE YA! Rob, you'll probably be too busy but try to stay in touch man!
  7. I didn't know I could do these until I saw a post on another forum showing them so I thought I'd give it a go! Hanging windsreen wiper http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=kqNx_asf54M Here's another one just for fun to see if I could do an exercise I saw on the exercise station! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JHQZ1Mv9ghg F1

Just found out I could do them last night and took a video today, I'm real excited about this because this was a long time goal that I gave up hope on, I just figured I couldn't do it and never bothered again!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXMR1saScFE Flanders77....What's this called, I've seen it done but can never find out what it's called? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTImCnonTMA F1
  12. Hey that's my link....give it back!!!! Hey Trev, how goes it stranger!? Really well, thanks for askin' Big! Busy like you wouldn't believe tho - that's why I haven't been 'round the forum much lately - working on a TV show almost full time, shooting stills on my weekends, working out tons - kickboxing, yoga. I gotta kick back one of these days! Just had the Taste of Health Veggie conference here in Van - was awesome. I learned a lot and realized I have to spend some time chilling! You know what I'm going through the same thing myself, I'm busy trying to make my lifes passion bear fruit, I've also realised I gotta focus on myself and make sure I'm happy with my life and my actions, sometimes I get caught up in all the raw drama and that doesn't make me happy, but I'm having a blast with my training and my boot camps, so I'm not gonna be around here so much either coz I'll be focusing on those, well man, I'm glad your busy and taking care of biznezz, keep on keeping on and say hi to Suz for me! be good! F1
  13. Hey that's my link....give it back!!!! Hey Trev, how goes it stranger!?
  14. You don't need a cooked food section here because it's a given that vegan cooked food and the nutritional advice that goes with it is the norm, infact that goes for the real world too, where as raw vegans are the minority and a seperate lifestyle, having said that the vegan recipe section is the closest you'll get to a cooked food section.
  15. This is my point exactly, you gotta realise that this is a belief system for people that live the raw lifestyle not a vegan lifestyle, it's not their fault that it goes against the norm even for vegan standards, infact a lot of vegans go through similar treatment from meat eaters. You don't see me posting my opinions in the vegan recipe section, I don't even go in there because I know that it's not for me and I don't share the same views, yeah I could have a field day and start "questioning" and debating, posting articles to back up my own opinion, etc, but why would I look for trouble like that, why would I be so disrespectful to people that live the vegan lifestyle and eat vegan food, if I know that I don't agree with cooked foods then why the heck am I going to go in that section and find fault???....what's the point, as I said earlier the raw lifestyle often goes against every thing we've been taght to believe so what may seem like questionable advice is actually relevant to us and that's why it's called the raw food section...and for the record it wasn't the raw section that caused the division here, it was the opinions of a small group of individuals that just got the bit between their teeth and decided to take it upon themselves to trash myselself and the raw section, you can try to be as diplomatic as you want but that's what happened, it's been brewing up for a while and you know it, I've not yet seen any raw vegan here be disrespectful....or attack someones integrity! Anyway I've made my point already and I'm sick of repeating myself so I'm laying it to rest!
  16. Oh no man, it was great to hear from you, I don't see you very often and no I wasn't offended at all, if I sounded ticked off I apologize, I'm usually doing 2-3 things at once on the computor plus all this saddened me a great deal, but no man, I'm cool and agreed with what you pointed out, I realised it was like walking on egg shells because a few members decided to single me out then trash the raw section and everybody knows that I I'm the most vocal there because I will try to help out in the raw section all I can, so yeah when you trash the raw section I'm going to get painted with the same brush too but I'll take the hit for the raw section, my shoulders are broad enough. All this has been very unfortunate and uncalled for but as I said this stuff happens, I've seen it many times else where and in my personal life and it's always the same, I remember getting verbally attacked and getting into some major battles many times when I first started out just for consistantly eating fruits for my lunch and I know that other long time raw vegans can share similar stories with you about how certain people react towards them simply because they eat raw foods, for some reason some people seem to take great offense to you looking after your health, so it's been a part of life for me for a long time and it can be pretty depressing and lonely and that's why I try to help people that want to go raw because I know what the obstacles are and how they can stop you before you even get started. I don't get attacked on a personal level anymore because I'm in better shape now and people know better, infact the crap we just went through on the board reminded me a lot of those times and it really showed me how far I've come as an individual, now I'm wearing fruit power t-shirts like I'm Mr Bigstuff and nobody says boo!!! Yeah there's always wars between raw and non-raw members in raw sections but it's usually a certain small group of people that always feels threatened and starts a debate, then they call it "questioning" and because we are so "alternative" and some people are so new that we end up as such easy targets and all we can come back with is our own experiences and personal truths and for most people it's just so much easier just to go back to the standard American diet, for me personaly nobody can "question" my personal truth, that will stay with me till I go to my grave. I don't think anyone can "sort it out" it just is what it is, there's always going to be jerks from both sides! Sorry for rambling but I feel it's really important that people get an insight into what it's really like to be a raw vegan, it's so darn hard and can be extremely lonely and daunting because it's so hard to find people that you can share stuff with especially when things happen while your cleansing that mimics real illness and if your not getting support from people that know what's happening it's so easy to give up and go back to the standard diet and here's another insight, when raw vegans post certain articles they are not doing it to cause offence, it's simply apart of our experience that we want to share amongst fellow raw vegans. I hope all this clears up quick too because Rob does so much work and such a good job promoting veganism. Anyway man I'm tired, just had a kick azz workout, it's late and I'm off to rest, you be good, ya hear!!!! Bigz
  17. I got mine from a East indian store when I lived in Britain, I've not seen them since.
  18. I skimmed through it a little - and unless I'm missing something - it's not at all vegan friendly... One of the main reasons I follow a vegan life style is for the health benefits - and according to this website, we're healthier when following an omnivorous diet and we were meant to be omnivores... It seems to me they're attempting to debunk veganism in general just as much as raw food veganism... I guess sometimes it's good to look at it from both sides, but this site isn't very encouraging... ???? Well no your right....I mean anybody can fail at something then trash it, if he was successful at it he would of been singing it's praises! This site has been around for years infact it was one of the first websites on Fruitarianism that I came across when I first started out, man it broke my heart because I felt so good but this guy was saying it was not healthy, well needless to say I carried on anyway, then later found out that basically he messed up all by himself, he didn't take care of himself and messed up then trashed the lifestyle, it's pretty much the anti-raw vegans go to site because he pretty says what they want to hear to back up their opinions. Which is cool because all is fair in love and war but the new raw vegans that don't know any better need to know that there's hope! Check this out!!! http://www.ecologos.org/tb.htm As I was reading the fruitarian section I was thinking of you Bigbwii! Like I stated above, I like the website, and I love being raw, but sometimes its nice to get a second opinion about things :/ Hey man, that's cool, sometimes it just seems like people aren't happy until they find fault with something.....at the end of the day if your happy with your lifestyle and I'm happy with mine, who cares about opinions....keep on keeping on man!
