  1. did you get a pair? how are they working out for you?
  2. just try to maintain an open mind, man. its good to be open to all possibilities imho.
  3. Yeah, but still, the cooked people see this as a theory It is a theory. 100% raw or 811 or anything might work for some people, but that doesn't mean it works for everyone. It also doesn't mean a different diet might work better. Most of nutrition is theory sitting on top of just a few concrete facts. That's why we have some folks in here for whom raw didn't work at all, and they needed to switch. We have others who are thriving on it. We're all trying out different nutritional theories all the time. And guess what? That's perfectly OK. It shouldn't be anathema to admit that your personal beliefs are just theories. Back up what you can with hard science and admit that the rest is conjecture. But please realize that anecdotal evidence or isolated cases aren't scientifically valid. Not for 100% raw or 1g/lb of protein per day or 811 or fruitarianism or food vibrations or keto. Not for anything, across the board. +1
  4. right on! social networking sites like these are an outstanding tool for spreading information. respect to you, sir.
  5. i did a lil research on dr fhurman, and it makes sense to me when he says the key is how you cook the food. boiling and steaming are much better than traditional cooking with all that burning and smoke.
  6. i just discovered your blog and i absolutley love it! very cool.

  8. one day at the mall i had to get subway. i guess i was in a hurry that morning and didnt have time to prepare food like i normally do, so i had a 6" with wheat bread, spinach, banana and bell peppers, black olives, tomato.. i couldnt even finish it. totally ing. i went home later that day to discover the bread contains high fructose corn syrup. i didnt research the vegetables at the time but they tasted very weird.. oh and she also used the same ing knife that she had (probably) been using all day without washing it. ive tried their salad too, which in my case is just spinach and veggies in a bowl since i assumed the lettuce was worthless. did NOT taste right. and the girl working there looked at me like i was the opposite of civilization or something when i indicated that there would be no dressing on the salad. subway used to be my favorite.
  9. for awhile i was of the opinion that anything cooked is bad bad bad, but, as with most subjects its not black and white. i finally started eating broccoli again. im steaming it now, and its sooo good, i cant stop eating it. so while im not 100% raw any more, im eating food that i like. i think i'll get more out of the cooked broocoli than no broccoli at all, huh? we're all different and most foods are different, so im beginning to think a rigid percentage plan is not the way to go on this. i enjoy the raw lifestyle, i like eating living foods. but right now i think my body is saying its ok to mix it up a little. i guess im probably 60/40 this week. feeling awesome.
  10. i would go with these over perfect pushup for sure. they are more affordable and will probably last longer.
  11. i think most people would care, if they werent so brainwashed. remember, they didnt necessaily choose it, they were born into it. the best we can do is spread the word and lead by example. no one wants to hear preaching, but they'll always watch if you demonstrate life can be lived differently.
  12. i use FITDAY but there are other nutrition trackers. its really convienent bc it saves your recent foods, so inputting data is quick and easy. its also free. Last two months my avg day looks like this: 2329 calories 89.7 g fat 35% 324g carb 54% 67.8 protein 11% not enough protein i guess, but i feel fine and im building muscle. too much fat, but that peanut butter is just so good. just thought id share.
  13. good call indeed. you live to run another day..
  14. put me down for a shirt as soon as i get paid on fri
  15. i dont think anyone is going to provide substantial scientific proof that the soul exists. for me, thats part of what makes asking the question so interesting...
