  2. Pre-workout and during workout ?'s: What do you folks do about calusses on the hands? I love my calusses. Chalk is my best friend.. To get rid of them try a pumice stone and lotion daily... Personally I'd keep them with pride. What do you do about your hands, arms, shoulders fatiguing before you even get close to failure for the primary muscle group you are intending to target (think dumbell lunges or squats or calf raises)? Sometimes I can't even grip hard enough to hold the dumbell towards the end and thus cannot finish the sets. You need to work on your grip strength. Get a stress squeeze hand ball, or rubber small ball and work on your grip strength in your down times. Post workout ?'s: What do you do about stiff, swollen and painfull hands after an intense lifitng routine? Two word for you Sage Tea. However, if thats not your thing, ice immediately after, then pop an ib profen.

Umm I'm fairly close to my ideal, but like Robert said, you tend to constantly modify and improve on your goals once they are reached... This month my goal is to get a tan so I dont blind anyone!

  7. You're doing amazing. I just wanted to say I dont even know you, but am totally happy for you and proud. Fitness is a sometimes a lonely journey, and definately being vegan and a girl, its a little rough out there. However, kudos and congratulations are in order! Keep at it, you're amazing. - Alyx

    Newbie!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! Yes, Wyoming is a difficult place to be vegan in, but not too terrible I suppose. It was much easier when I lived in Dallas, but it is what it is, a lifestyle. I've noticed the longer Ive stayed vegan the less I think about it, it's habit now I know where and what I can do so by habit I m rarely put in a odd situation. On a positive note had a fantastic run this morning to work. I think its just under 3 miles, so its a great morning wake up to my day and it was nice, since lately Ive been short on time and have been having to bicycle.. How much water intake is normal for everyone? I get repeatedly that I drink much more water than the average athlete.... Probably 2 - 3 gallons thru the day. Not trying to drink excessive, just when I feel like I need it... Well back to work.

    Newbie!

Hey yall, My name is Alyx. I'm new on here obviously. Well lets see, I'm from all over the country, but I'm currently stuck in Cheyenne Wyoming. I'm 21, and of course vegan. I am working at a great gym called Smart Sports here in town, and am just on for any tips I can pick up along the journey. Oh yeah I've done a little building, but I want to get into the modeling side eventually.. Would love to talk to anyone especially anyone here close by! - Alyx
