  1. 6 billion people in the world. I'm sure there's at least a few of all of us. I always wondered if I travelled to somewhere fun if I'd run into someone who looks exactly like me. That'd be fun. Get my picture taken with them. Heh.
  2. If I made a list of threads I've been thinking about posting this would be it... or at least where this one's gone... Relationships with non-vegetarians/vegans... I've drawn a line at vegetarian or better if it's someone who is going to be a significant part of my life. But that isn't very frequent it seems. And vegan... well that's even less frequent now isn't it... I dunno where I'm going with this rambling. But I'm glad this topic came up
  3. I loved salt. Then I had kidney stones. I retain less water now. Since I'm off salt. (mostly)
  4. Will I think the anti-soy crowd says it causes hair-loss... among other things.
  5. Those fake meats weird me out. If it's too close to the real thing I'm like "whoa" and then feel strange inside. Like the Stonewall's Jerquee - I can eat a few of them but the one with the little pig on it that's called "cajun bacon" flavor... I can't eat that one. Way to creepy with the pig right on it. I could do burgers cuz they're not specifically animal, or sausage, or the jerquee. But like ribs would twist up my head. Anything that's too close to animal. It's probably one of those old tricks I learned when I was omnivorous, disassociate the meat name from the animal name. Like a burger is a burger and pepperoni is pepperoni but lamb... well that's lamb. Human rubs me just as weird. But I might try it for kicks.
  6. I took one that said I should be a locomotive engineer. Train driver. Still sounds interesting but I think it's probably a few years off for me. Something I'd like to do in ten years or so? Although maybe they'll all be robotically controlled then.
  7. Do you have family history of early hair loss?
  8. Calcium: Dark leafy green veggies. Spinach, collard greens, kale etc.

    Wool

Around here, from my understanding, stuff that doesn't get picked up at a thriftstore gets dumped. Stuck in a landfill. I can't see that being better. And I'd rather buy used than new... recycling versus new production... As for 'advertising'... that's a tricky one. I like to think people are responsible for their own choices, that copying something it appears I'm doing is a poor choice or some such... At least without talking to me about it. Interesting interpersonal dynamic at that point.

I think it's actually worth more than yours if yours isn't used. ... Right? -Aaron
  11. Welcome, nice to have you, cute dog, yes you should be in Oregon, etc... How'd you get into personal training? Schooling... certs... Do you work for a gym? Independent contracting? Can you tell I'm interested in the personal training? It's one of my interests after I get this teaching degree I'm working on done. -Aaron
  12. Isn't it missing the chondroitin then? I thought they needed to be a team... Maybe I need to google this up. I'm def. interested though
  13. Book for my PE507 class says (incidental that I was just reading this chapter tonight)... Thiamine - Serves as a coenzyme for energy production from carbohydrate; essential for normal functioning of the central nervous system Riboflavin - Functions as a coenzyme involved in the energy production from carbohydrates and fats; maintenance of healthy skin Niacin - Functions as a coenzyme for the aerobic and anaerobic production of energy from carbohydrate; helps synthesize fat and blocks release of free fatty acids; needed for healthy skin. These are all water soluble so your body won't store them up and if you binge you'll just excrete the extra. The only one you can really go to high on is Niacin. Thiamine and Niacin can be gotten from whole grains. Riboflavin from leafy greens. All three from beans and enriched grain products. Enzymes in your body help regulate the diverse chemical reactions that happen. Coenzymes, like these three, form half of an enzyme. If those bagels you eat are enriched with these three I'm guessing you don't need to worry about them
  14. We tried to expand it but the big groc. companies shut us down. I think safeway spearheaded it. I could be wrong. We were going to add snapple bottles and all kinds of non carbonated drinks to the thing. But that got voted down. Corporate tools
  15. Nice call. Meanwhile I usually go for a bag of chips if I can't find anything. Corn chips cooked up in some kinda veggie oil. 1400 calories in a bag mostly fat and carbs... yum

    Wool

Wool itches. At least it doesn't look totally gross like down though. Still, no wool. Although If it didn't itch me I'd be down with used wool. Like thrift store? Yeah I'm down with that. Used over new for me. Financial concerns too
  17. Ethics are tricky. Just don't feed the beast too much. I think. Maybe. And bring me a map of the tunnels. I hear there are tunnels. Good to hear things are headed the way you desire, congrats.
  18. Cheapest place with weights and a mirror. Sometimes even without the mirror. At home if I have to. Right now at PSU student rec center. I've never actually paid for a gym membership. I don't know if that's good or bad
  19. Treadmill and shoes can make a difference. Or even a track. Pavement can be killer. Of course I'm a bad one to talk. I kicked off ten miles last night after not running in two months, and ten is twice what I've ever done, and now I can barely walk... *sigh* Mom says orthotics are in order for me. We'll see.
  20. Dark hair... A guy I knew once told me sometimes we seek ourselves. Salma Penelope In that order I think. Although penelope scores big on the cuteness factor... hmm... maybe reverse it. But yes both are attractive.
