  2. Friday 18th March - Chest, Arms and the dreaded Abs Part of my mix it up, mash it up, try anything, max variety way of thinking, went to different gym and did a pre gym session on the beach... Running On The Beach - For Euphoria 4 mile -- Glorious day, left work early and drove down to car park on the banks of the Mersey, sun setting as I got back to the car, bliss... Weights Freestyle lifting, 28 sets over over 10 exercises... -- Highlight- Barbell curls 50kg/25reps - 60kg/13reps -- arms are getting strong, wish everything else was To finish off 5 minutes in hydropool 10 minutes in sauna
  3. Go for it!!! I'm terrified of heights and that's why i'm going climbing, to overcome the fear. Only been twice, on the smaller walls say 7 metre I feel ok but on the larger walls, 14 metre I get above half way and panic, my palms get sweaty so constantly chalking them. But the satisfaction you get when you reach the top is great and one little step forward to overcoming the fear. I think this motivated me to finally stop talking about wanting to do it and actually make plans to do something about it! Seriously you won't regret doing it, and you can do it. My fear of heights has always been very bad, but this is helping me and seriously it's good fun and very good exercise, your fingers will hurt the first time you do it though.

  9. Probably a dumb question but what is "WOD"? means a 'big load' of cash for example over here in UK
  10. Very wise move! I lost focus on Boxing day 2009 and compacted a disc, 3 weeks of agony and pretty much a year of gradual improvement.

  15. That would be great, to be honest I want to lose break up my usual routine to relieve boredom and also keep bodyfat levels down. I'm thinking every 4/6weeks taking a week break from my usual routine and doing a week of crossfit?

  18. Apologies for my ignorance Heard the term Crossfit thousands of times but never thought about what it is... To be honest It sounds like something I might like doing, I enjoy biking, swimming and running, something to ponder in the future! Outfit looks good! You need a license to cycle in USA?

  22. Good point Richard, I'm all for fighting the tyranny of nature and how it controls us. But as you say the way I live is a cultural product, I've kind of told myself, no marriage, no kids, but then I'm thinking if other vegans are also thinking the same, veganism could die out. Maybe I should spawn a plethora of vegan children after all
