  1. Congrats, veganmadre! Oh how I hope to amount to your achievement and hit 1000 posts!
  2. That same night I had a dream that I was with a former close friend of mine. It made me think of her quite a bit that following day. She and I were very close. She was from China and she was new to my school (we were in fifth grade)--we became friends soon after her move (from Brooklyn, NY--where she moved to after being born/growing up in China). After finishing elementary school together, we stuck together as we made the transition to middle school (beginning with sixth grade). One day during the spring of our sixth grade year--my teacher announced to the class that she--my friend--wasn't in school because her father was killed in a car accident the previous night. I felt "kicked in the stomach", shocked, and devastated. I was keeping it in until about second period when I just couldn't take it and cried. We remained very close. That following summer, she and her mother moved back to China, partially due to the fact that her mother didn't speak very much English. That was very hard for me because she and I were so close and what bothers me now is that despite giving her my mailing address, I haven't heard from her. I'm not mad, but I do only hope that she's doing okay. Anyhow, I don't mean to be talking about myself. Though, veganmadre, the fact that you mentioned your dream amazed me by the fact that not only was it the same night I had my dream, but also that both of our dreams held very significant meaning to us even though our situations were different. By the way, Sofia is so dear and lovely--she is very lucky to have wonderful people like you and Michael in her life, as were you her. Like Tigress said, she will always be with you in spirit. I send you my best wishes as well as undying admiration for your openness and strength. I'm lucky to have finally met you in person too.
  3. Very nicely said - my sentiment as well. Ditto!

You're probably a little less weird these days - but even more talented! Who Were You In High School? http://www.blogthings.com/whowereyouinhighschoolquiz/
  5. Sweden is a country I'd love to see. From what I've read about it--it sounds like a place I wouldn't mind living. There are many things I love about it. Although Wales is truly my home. Maybe if I really take to Sweden--it could be a second home. Your Inner European is Swedish! http://images.blogthings.com/whosyourinnereuropeanquiz/swedish.jpg Relaxed and peaceful. You like to kick back and enjoy life. Who's Your Inner European? http://www.blogthings.com/whosyourinnereuropeanquiz/

  8. You Belong in Amsterdam http://images.blogthings.com/whateuropeancitydoyoubelonginquiz/amsterdam.jpg A little old fashioned, a little modern - you're the best of both worlds. And so is Amsterdam. Whether you want to be a squatter graffiti artist or a great novelist, Amsterdam has all that you want in Europe (in one small city). What European City Do You Belong In? http://www.blogthings.com/whateuropeancitydoyoubelonginquiz/ I do like much of what I hear about the Netherlands. I'll be happy as long as I'm out of the states.
  9. You Are a Mermaid http://images.blogthings.com/whatmythologicalcreatureareyouquiz/mermaid.jpg You are a total daydreamer, and people tend to think you're flakier than you actually are. While your head is often in the clouds, you'll always come back to earth to help someone in need. Beyond being a caring person, you are also very intelligent and rational. You understand the connections of the universe better than almost anyone else. What Mythological Creature Are You? http://www.blogthings.com/whatmythologicalcreatureareyouquiz/ I am definitely a daydreamer!
