  1. Comet, of course you should report all animal abuse. It is not necessary for you to tell cruely investigator who you are.
  2. http://www.phillytalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1841 I posted my message on forum above because I am working to improve living condition of chained dogs in our state of Pennsylvania. I know people who chain their dogs don't deserve to have dogs first place but I cannot take away thousands of chained dogs in our state because chaining dogs is legal here. Unfortunately, most peole on this forum are living in other countries and there is not much all of you can do to improve treatment of chained dogs, but if you wish to voice your opinion on chaining dogs, please post your message on forum above. A person who use username 'comon sense guy' posted very heartless message and I am irritated by him. Please don't let him to think his message represent opinion of majority of people. We need to show people who visit forum above about our concerne of horrible pain and suffering of chained dogs. these chained dogs want to be free desperately and dying for companionship and kindness.
  3. Type 'products of Canada' and look around when we go super market, department stores, etc. Yes we have many products from Canada in our country including sea food.
  4. Jay, maybe you view barbarities as cultural difference but I DO NOT! I am sorry if I misunderstood you. Some Spanish and Mexicans think bullfights are acceptable because it is just culatural difference but bullfights are not cultural difference but shameful bloody barbarity. These barbarities are not related to culture. We have cultural difference in music, art, sports, etc but NOT SHAMEFUL BLOODY BARBARITIES. Please do not put word in my mouth. You are only person who interpret my message incorrectly.
  5. If you know somebody who lives in Philadelphia PA area, please let me know because I am working on improving condition on chained dogs. Needless to say, I am totally against chaining dogs and want to see strict anti chaining dog legislation but because very strict legislation have no chance of passing House floor and Senate floor, we must start with less strict legislation. We have absolutely no protection for chained dogs in our state and animals are suffering horribly.
  6. Yes, we need to remember BOYCOTT CANADIAN PRODUCTS until seal hunt stop.
  7. madcat, I met her on other animal rights forum but she told us that she lives in state of New Jersey (my neighbor state) in USA and she is doing voluntary work in animal shelter.
  8. madcat, I think she is too sad and depressed because she never respond to our messages. I am going to ask her if she can post her message here on other forum and let you know.
  9. I wanted to share the copy of e-Newsletter I received from Shark organization to expose dirty lie of StarBucks. If you did not receive it, here it is. I could not copy most horrible pictures of tortured animals in rodeo but least Shark is exposing true color of StarBucks. Starbucks Refutes Own Statement, Backpedals to Continue Rodeo Support How Do You Spell Scum? S-T-A-R-B-U-C-K-S Dear Friends, In our last update we reported to you the content of Starbuck’s statements released on Thursday, February 2nd, 2006. It sounded like just what everyone wanted to hear: “As we reviewed coffee donations and other community activities, we learned that some of these events included rodeos. As a result, and consistent with our values and guiding principles, we have asked our local marketing teams to ensure that Starbucks does not affiliate with events that include rodeos.” Resultantly, from that update SHARK received a limited number of unfortunately misguided responses from Buck Starbucks campaign supporters suggesting (as Starbucks so transparently hoped we would) that we should consider it a victory, call off the dogs-- they’ve given us what we wanted. Our response to this line of thinking is a resolute and most urgent, not only “NO!” but “Hell, NO!” This is a pivotal point for the Buck Starbucks campaign. We must not allow even the slightest of our growing momentum to be compromised by any of Starbuck’s continued lies and side slide shuffle. That statement is the best proof that (even as they continue to officially ignore the awareness of our existence, and thereby cowardly refuse direct dialogue where they would be forced to acknowledge their digressions) our campaign is hitting the Thugs where it hurts--exposing their PR propaganda and greenwash for just what it is, Lip Flap! In response to Buck Starbucks campaign supporters’ barrage of contacts to them, Starbucks present statement of February 3rd, 2006 reads: ”At Starbucks, we are deeply committed to living by our six Guiding Principles, which include Contributing Positively to our Communities and Environment. One of the ways we give back is by supporting activities that are important to the communities we serve. As a result, a significant portion of Starbucks marketing efforts are locally driven and focus on connecting with the community through sponsorships, events, product donations and community giving programs. Also, Starbucks store partners (employees) are encouraged to support and participate in their local neighborhoods in ways they feel are most relevant to their communities. For example, one store may provide a coffee donation for a local breakfast, while another might serve as a gathering place for a local group meeting or event. To us, this is the best way our stores can be welcoming and focused on what's most important to the communities they serve. Because our store partners are the best people to identify what's important to the communities where they work and live, it is very possible that a local Starbucks could be affiliated with an event, such as a rodeo, that is relevant to their community. In all cases, we strive to support our communities in a way that is consistent with Starbucks culture and values. Our goal is to support, not to offend, our community of neighbors." This, one day after their latest attempt to lure us off track with their most recent of ongoing lies. We and our ardent supporters were seeking confirmation to their red herring in the form of a firm corporate directive to their “local marketing teams;” directing (not “asking” or requesting) that in holding consistent with their values and Guiding Principles they must henceforth ensure that Starbucks does not affiliate with events that include or relate to rodeos. This, and only this, with subsequent strictly enforced adherence to it will provide the victory the Buck Starbucks campaign will accept. Consider cockfighters still legally operating in Louisiana and New Mexico. Assume they are putting on an extravaganza of one of the longest standing atrocities known and condoned in those parts, and a Starbucks partner being the “best authority on his communities events” opts to share sponsorship of this event. No Problem Starbucks? Consider bullfights in Madrid or Mexico City. In some parts of the world these “traditions” are generally accepted and culturally embraced. Starbucks has stores worldwide, making a local store partner’s decision to sponsor these events a possibility. No Problem Starbucks? Of course they would want us to assume that in keeping with their “Six Guiding Principles” they do not support such atrocities, even when they are real possibilities based on Starbucks’ latest backstepping statement. We’ve updated you consistently, demonstrating the Thug’s methods of lying and deceiving. In just one day’s time we’ve now shown Starbucks backing away from the bone they threw to derail our campaign. We’re not deceived. We won’t back off for a second. That’s exactly what Starbucks wants. It's apparent these corporate morons don’t know squat about SHARK or its supporters! How Do You Spell Scum? S-T-A-R-B-U-C-K-S Were it not for the animal suffering involved, the Starbucks/Rodeo issue would be downright comical. Here is a company that has made an enormous amount of money selling overpriced products in large part because of a slick marketing campaign that fools people into believing that it cares about people, animals and the environment. The truth, however, is that you'll search for a very, very long time before you find a bunch of corporate stooges that could compete with the sleaze factor exhibited by Starbucks personnel. These people are about profit and nothing more. They are the dregs of society, even if most people have yet to figure that out. Here are just a few of Starbucks positions, all of which are of course based on their “Guiding Principles.” -The Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo is a “Native American Cultural Event.” This is an outrageous lie. The “Native Americans” involved in Cheyenne are there mainly as props for foolish tourists to stare at. Animal People editor, Merritt Clifton, did some quick research and sent Starbucks historical proof that their corporate line was nonsense. -Starbucks has no affiliation with rodeos. Another blatant lie. Starbucks is an advertiser and/or sponsor with at least four rodeo events in four different states. In Washington State they cosponsored a Miss Rodeo pageant with the Washington State Trappers Association. In another rodeo Starbucks was a “Gold Spur Sponsor.” Starbucks sponsored the American Royal rodeo in Kansas, a rodeo that was exposed by SHARK video cameras for the last two years in a row. And then there was Cheyenne, Wyoming, whose Frontier Days Rodeo was one of the most brutal and deadly rodeos SHARK investigators have ever witnessed. Yesterday Starbucks claimed to have asked its people not to sponsor rodeos. Today it is acceptable to sponsor rodeos according to Starbucks. And no matter what position Starbucks takes, it is all in line with the company’s “principles.” Now that really is funny, because Starbucks has absolutely no principles. It is amazing to think about these lying, arrogant buffoons hiding away from the truth, pretending to be something they so clearly are not. I ask that everyone call Starbucks and let them know exactly what you think. If possible, go out and protest. In the next couple of weeks the Tiger Truck will be in Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco. I’d love to see you at the protests. Kind Regards, Steve Hindi and your SHARK Team Abused and injured from head to hoof, this horse's condition speaks louder than Starbucks' greenwashed image. Any thinking person can see Rodeo Hurts! How many injured horses, steers, and calves must to be dragged out, never to be seen again, before Starbucks stops their shameful support? Quick Links... Please Contact Starbucks! Sign the Petition! 10. Jay what I am against is TOTALLY UNNECESSARY SADISTIC TORTURE of dogs before they eat these animals who have intelligence and affection. Have you ever seen dogs whose legs are tied on his back and his mouth is covered with tin can to prevent breathing? I think we need to think beyond livestock=food. We must view these barbarity as unacceptable practice in any society because this is not cultural difference but shameful sadistic barbarity.
  11. http://www.animalsasia.org/index.php?module=3&menupos=8&lg=en Another link.
  12. I support Last Chance for Animals http://www.suerussellwrites.com/derose.html PCRM, PETA, and Farm Sanctuary.
  13. Sometimes I feel so ashamed to be Asian knowing reality of chilling brutalities in Asian countries. There is no justification for the way some Asians torture innocent defenseless animals before they kill them and this is not cultural difference but practice of sadism. I am sorry. I could not post the link I wanted post and when I wanted to delete, X is invisible on my screen. _________________ If you eat meat, don't call yourself animal lover because you are not. 14. Crash, only thing I know is owner of dog was on trial for dog fighting but he won on court and got his dog back. We are living in very sick society. Crash, may I have your permission to post your message on other forum for her to read? You are giving her idea to save dog.
  15. A lady who was taking care of pit bull for about 6 months in animal shelter is heartbroken because she got attached to this female pit bull but few days ago, dog fighters(these men are ex owner of this dog) re gain custody of this dog and she had no choice but to give her back to these dog fighters because these two dog fighters won in court. What kind of judge is cruel enough to give back dog to dog fighters? I know if judge is corrupt minded, he/she can take $$$$$$$$ and ignore horrible crime of dog fighting. Maybe there wasn't enough evidence of dog fighting? I can ask her permission to post her message here if somebody on this forum has idea to save this female pitbull. I know millions of dogs and cats are crying in pain because of pet population explosion problem.
  16. http://www.sharkonline.org/index.php?&page=0000000347 God bless Shark! Boycott Starbuck.
  17. Too many ordinary Christian belive that God made animals for us to eat, wear, and experiment on but I am sure loving God prefer people who practice love and compassion instead of viewing animals as commodities. How do I view Animal Rights? I view Animal Rights philosophy as fruit of highest spiritual level.
  18. Daywalker, thank you for accepting my apology.
  19. Some people think vegetarians are humane people but I disagree. Consuming dairy products and eggs contribute most horrible farm animal cruelty because chilling brutalities in these industries. Vegetarian Times sent me magazine but when I see recipes using dairy products and eggs, I get very irritated. Eating dairy products and eggs promote meat industry indirectly because as soon as cows stop producing milk, they are end up in slaughterhouses. Egg raying hens have same fate as cows. When I pointed out this fact to vegetarians, somebody sent me very hateful message and told me that not eating meat saves animals! Some people have very convenient way of thinking to defend their life style to contribute in most horrible farm animal torture and cruel death. This is one of my reason to dislike selfish dishonest people who deny animal suffering to satisfy their taste buds. What is answer to reach these people?
  20. neil, it is good to know that we can enjoy vegan pudding but Morinaga is dairy company and selling dairy products. When I was little girl, my family gave me Morinaga milk candy but those days I knew nothing about horror in dairy industry and eating milk candy innocently but now there is no way for me to eat dairy products like most people are doing. I have nothing against buying vegan pudding mix because more people are buying vegan products from Morinaga, they make more vegan products to sell, but when I see word 'dairy' I have ing feeling knowing chilling brutality in dairy industries. www.notmilk.com
  21. I found my link on thread of PENN& TELLER SLAGGING PETA (page 3). I was so sure I posted on thread of ANIMAL TEST: ARE THEY JUSTIFIED? I am sorry for my mistake.
  22. I cannot stand bloody gruesome looking meat! I instantly and completely stop eating meat over 35 years ago and I NEVER have desire for animal flesh. I never buy dairy products and eggs but of course I am not 100% pure and God knows it.
  23. SeaSiren, pray for miracle and let us know.
  24. Richard, I am sure that thread had more than one page.
  25. Robert, I am sure I posted link of http://vivisection-absurd.org.uk/primate.html on thread on Animal Tests: Are they justified? but I only see page one.
