  1. In my experience with omni's the main problem appears to be the lack of empathy. So I am left wondering what can we as individuals and collectives / groups do to engage people to experience the reality of those who suffer when they have become conditioned, by society / culture / community / etc, to be otherwise. And then to positively alter their personal reality due this experience. Pete...

  3. Does anyone have any experience using herbal supplements, such as Tribulus or Ashwagandha? I have come across articles on their benefits, but am interested in comments from those who have experience using them...
  4. Thanks for the welcome all... Thanks, yes it is on my back, and it's a work in progress. An old photo but I'm not much of a photo fan, so I don't have any others really... I was hoping it would...
  5. Greetings All... Thought I better post an intro before I get too carried away and start posting... I am from Perth, which is the capital city of, Western Australia. I have been a vegetarian for a number of years, this year deciding I would take on a vegan diet entirely. My main fitness regime has been in martial arts which I have done for a number of years, although I took an 18 month break, but have recently got back on the mat and decided to try a new style/s and take up Kenpo and MMA. I have also recently got into the gym with, what I am hoping will stay, a more a motivated approach. So I am hoping to begin reaping those benefits over the next few months. For those interested I am setting up a resource website for veg*ns in my area - http://www.perthveg.com We have a tv show here called Muscle TV - http://www.muscletv.tv/ - which is aired on the community TV stations. I have been sending them emails, and getting others to also, in an attempt to have them do a segment on vegan and vegetarian weightlifting. So I am hoping that happens in the next series. But feel free to hound them also... Pete...
  6. Well I've added myself, and I'm in Australia...
  7. I enjoy training in martial arts also, but I've never been much for the sport side of it, it's more about self mastery for me. I've never met another veg martial artist either. I trained in karate before moving onto freestyle and kickboxing, later kickboxing and muay thai. I have always been interested in experiencing other martial arts and the idea of cross training so I also used to supplement my training by taking classes in other arts along the way, such as capoeira, jui jitsu, boxing, wing chun. I have recently got back into training after an 18 month break, beginning training in Kenpo and MMA. The transition to a veg lifestyle only ever improved my performance, although I was never at a pro level. For myself a lot my 'drive' comes from being in greater awareness of my energy system which was strengthend by being a vego...
