  1. I think there's one vegan restaurant within a 50 mile radius of where I live. Eh. I suppose there might be something hiding, but most likely there is literally only a single vegetarian/vegan restaurant within a 50 mile radius. We don't all live in Holland.
  2. Well look around some here and at veganfitness.net There are many people vegan athletes far more impressive than him. Also whom are happy to give away what they know for free. Kettlebells are a scam by the way but I guess since you bought them instead of just free weights you might as well use them. No big deal I guess unless you're a poor person who is getting ripped off.
  3. Woke up the other night at 1:30AM with agonizing pain in my middle back. I really toss and turn pretty hard so I thought maybe I messed something up while tossing and turning....perhaps the C&Ps I was doing got things set up and then the tossing finished them off...??? But I had no actual pain from doing C&Ps, but my back was starting to feel funny. The pain was so bad I decided to go to the ER. I really was bad off. I could barely talk. I threw up on the way to the car. At the time I thought just the pain caused me to throw up. Also my whole body was shaking like I was going into shock. At the hospital they seemed to think it more likely that I was having a kidney problem but they weren't certain. They did find blood in my urine but even a pulled muscle can cause that. The next day I'm fine. No back pain at all. I'm very worried that it's my kidneys and not my back. It wouldn't make sense for such excruciating back pain to come on so sudden while just being in bed. Nor for it to go away so quickly....... So since I was unjustly "let go" from LANL I've had shingles, a chronic anal fissure and now it looks like something serious is up with my kidneys. The one other person I know who was unfairly gotten rid of from LANL was dead within a year.
  4. Yeah the manicotti is excellent.

    finally

There's nothing wrong with not washing your hands after touching your peepee. Peepee's are no dirtier than the rest of the body. Crash and Nat, see this is what christianity does. You've learned to think the body is a yucky thing to be hidden. It's all part of the thinking that we shouldn't value/enjoy this life as it's meaningless relative to the eternal heaven. So sex is bad. Oral sex especially.... Etc.
  6. I'm trying to catch up to him. I've done a little over 300 in an hour. I've done 179 in 30 minutes and right now am trying to do a 6 rep set every minute for an hour. I've done that for 28 minutes straight so far. When I started I could do maybe 3 reps every minute like back in December maybe...? I think it was. Now that first set of 6 feels like I'm on the moon.
  7. No, no. The Invisible Pink Unicorn is the true one god.
  8. 6/60 for 28 to start Doing C&Ps with 120. Jury still out with regards to lower back/left shoulder
  9. All the stuff about how squats/dls give this testosterone release causing the entire body to grow is basically pure crap. I guess that's what you're referring to. Well I don't know what your frame is. Find a weight you feel good at. I don't think 230 is heavy at all though.
  10. I'd have to see the pictures to give an opinion but I would like to see you add some size Rob. The animal protein comment is ignorant and it's pretty much customary to have some politics going on in these things I thought....? But what really matters is competing with yourself. Don't give up. You have decades to improve.
  11. 3 days ago did 6/60 for 20 minutes to start. Yesterday did 7/90 for 27 minutes to start.
  12. I'm the same as are a few other vegans I know of. I'm fine with a little soy here and there but I generally just avoid it. I had some tofu yesterday in some vegan manicotti and was fine but I avoid soy milk/soy protein drinks, etc. It's really only when I eat a lot though that I have a problem. I get really tired and my body feels all overheated. You probably don't need to have an allergy test. Just don't eat stuff that makes you feel bad. And too much soy seems to make a lot of people feel bad.
  13. Oh, what a sweetie you are! So did you try them? What's the verdict? You say they resemble -- do you think you got the right stuff? How'd you do them? Did you do them plain, spray the olive oil, sprinkle with spices/salt? We forgot about them. I guess there was so much food, etc. Just forgot all about them. Probably still sitting in Tiffaney/Mike's fridge. What did y'all do? I wasn't invited About 15 vegans met at Tif/Mike's place and had a potluck. It was nice. Well disagreeing's funner. More to talk about when you disagree with someone. Hey, you're always invited raVen. Stop by anytime at my house. Bit out of the way though for you. My brother lives in San Diego though. Maybe next time I see him... (I don't see him often though.) Don't have the money to visit. Tried the avocado pudding. It's not bad. But I only like it in small amounts. A little gritty but I think that was probably the blender I used. You have a vitamix right raVen? That probably gets rid of any grittiness. I was using my Mom's blender which isn't very powerful. My own blender is more powerful. I'll try it next time.
  14. Thanks! Let me think about coming tonight... probably not. Doing some work with my dad today.
  15. No, you don't crisp the roti. Just cook it enough that it gets a little brown. It's the best bread there is IMO. Regular bread is all spongy and soaks up saliva and gets harder to chew/swallow. Funny that the best bread is the simplest to make. I've never had sprouted chickpeas. Haven't really eaten much sprouted stuff. I'm going to make that avocado choco pudding today or tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.
  16. 6/70 for 50 minutes Nice improvement. I've noticed (thanks to doing 40 to 60 sets of chins a 0.1 rep per set improvement is very noticeable) that fast energy release foods (processed sugars, rice) (high glycemic index stuff) always gives my strength a boost.
  17. He really seems like a good guy. I don't like how he is trashed by NFL fans. Seems maybe like there's a tinge of racism going on in a lot of the negative stuff I hear referring to him.
  18. Thanks raVen. That first thing looks familar, like what they serve as an appetizer at Indian restaurants? Next time I'm up in Morgantown I'll see if they have some. That avocado choco pudding sounds really good. I'll definitely try it. Have you ever made raw hummus raVen? I'd expect it wouldn't taste much different than regular hummus.... Lately I've discovered roti. Which is just whole wheat flour rolled out like a really thin pita and heated up on a skillet. The same as hummus I can just eat it everyday and not get tired of it.
  19. He's appealing the suspension. The suspension wasn't for marijuana. He's been back in India this spring. In the past he was studying ayurvedic medicine.
  20. chinups.... some bench pressing.... dips..... Right now I'm trying to finally add in some clean and presses.... still have a little something not right. Pain going down my right leg still as a result of the C & Ps.... May be permanent but then I've seen that the healing process can still be continuing up to 14 months in as I couldn't play basketball before but now can.
  21. Well that's not going to be any good anyway. They have unoffical blacklists. They'd hardly have it on the internet for all to see and all to sue. Filing a Freedom of Information act is the only thing I know of although that probably wouldn't do much good either. I think I must be on a list.

    finally

I lost my two front teeth thanks to some dysentery thing I got in Kazakhstan. I passed out on the way to the bathroom. Finally got rid of it (after a month) with antibiotics.
  23. http://www.recordholders.org/en/list/pushups.html Record for pressups in an hour is 3,800. So you're a little better at chinups than pressups BB. (chinups record is 701 in an hour)
  24. I herniated a disc about 14 months ago from squats. It took a month before I could stand up straight. At 14 months I'm still very very slowly healing. None of the exercises made much difference except an inversion machine really did help some in the early going.
  25. Yeah (BW) squats just slowed me down too. They really didn't seem very functional. Just extra leg mass to lug around. Really heavy barbell squats can potentially increase sprinting speed though. 420 chins in an hour is really (extremely) good BB.
