  4. I've run everything between 100 meters and nearly a marathon (22.5 miles) and have some favorites. What about you? Listing my top 5 distances I would probably list them in this order: 1. 1,500 meters 2. 3,000 meters 3. 5,000 meters 4. 800 meters 5. 400 meters Honorable mentions would me half marathons and 10,000 meters. What are your favorite distances?

My Facebook status a couple of days ago looked like this: There are so many vegan athlete news stories making headlines, I can't even keep up with them! Just this week alone: Vegan Athlete Breaks World Weight Lifting Record, The No Meat Athlete Book Tour Is Announced And The Book Is Already One Of The Top Selling Books On Amazon.com, The Special Bodybuilding Edition Of Vegan Health & Fitness Magazine Hit Newsstands, The PlantBuilt Vegan Muscle Team Has A Feature On Care2.com Which Has 23 Million Members, and the list goes on. I wonder what next week will bring.......

  8. I've been doing on average about 80 per day for the past month. I haven't missed a single day of doing various amounts of push-ups. I'll have to start listing them here. Glad to see this thread is still going! Almost up to 100,000! Woohoo!
  9. Looking solid! Hope you're able to compete next time around. I've run into those roadblocks over the years as well. Keep training, keep making progress and soon the time will be right to hit the stage and rock the show!

  12. Hope you're feeling better! I had the same thing. Not full on flu, but I was sick for the past week. I don't like to admit it, but I guess it happens to all of us every now and then. I missed a couple of workouts, had some rough nights of sleep and in general, just didn't feel all that great. Today is my first day feeling pretty good. I was in the gym as well. Hope you're back in action now too!
  13. I know you had a long week but glad to see you're back in the iron game again! Maybe you can get a workout in at Expo East. I know it's nearly impossible with the long days on the show floor but I know Giacomo and Dani will be looking to hit the iron. Maybe a forum group workout will be in order! Have fun!
  14. Yeah, some stats I picked up in the Plant-Based Nutrition Certification Course through Cornell University. Some statistics are hard to grasp, but I like to think that we're making progressive steps forward each day. Hard to tell as population grows so fast, but hopefully the vegan population grows faster

  17. Mr. Consistency keeps after it! Great stuff, Ryan. Nice work with the circuits too. I've been doing some circuit training lately, including with barbells and dumbbells in addition to jump rope, getting a mix of anaerobic and aerobic training in. Keep after it. Have a great one!
  18. Thanks Buddy! I live close to a bunch of these athletes and when I travel I often see the others. I thought it would be cool to have some professionally produced, powerful videos that could speak volumes for the vegan athletic lifestyle, for anyone to post online and share on their websites, blogs and social media pages. Through this, I'm hoping that many people will see that with No Meat, there truly is No Problem building a great physique. Thanks again for your support as always! -Robert

Check this out: Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness will be filming some Vegan Athlete Training Videos throughout the year featuring most of the athletes pictured in the banner image below. We're looking for some help with fundraising in order to make this happen. Some will be highlight videos showcasing outstanding vegan physiques, others more informational. The videos, when completed will be free and hosted on our website, but filming, editing, and in some cases, arranging for the athletes to get together, costs money. That is how you can be part of this project, by ordering a Vegan Bodybuilding & Fitness book or by donating. We may start an official Kickstarter campaign in the future, but for now we'd like to offer up a few things with hopes of getting a little funding coming in to get our feet out the door. That way we can produce a video or two to show a sample of what is to come, highlighting those sample videos on our Kickstarter fundraising campaign page later on down the road. Ironically and very appropriately for our interests, some of these athletes live in the same city. This makes it easier for us to facilitate these projects and we aim to embark on this soon, to produce sample work to recruit more funding.
