  1. Sea siren rocks. It wouldnt be the same here without her.
  2. yup, that is why I always always forward clips like this to all my omni friends and email contacts. It is me educating them on animal rights issues. Even if they dont watch, I still will email them this stuff nevertheless and I know for a fact some have watched in the past and expressed their , etc. It is all about planting the seed and exposing them to the reality and the images. So next time, "vivisection" to them wont be some vague concept or image, but rather very specific images they have now seen. Remember, it is about putting a face to the nameless and faceless victims. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and email the clip to your friends.
  3. ya this happens to me too once in a while.
  4. 10 minute video clip on the SHAC 7. SHAC = Stop Huntington Animal Cruelty.
  5. Welcome Michael! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you, but it sounds like your vegan journey has been smooth sailing thus far!
  6. luv it. looks nothing like actual pizza but it is still good (the vegan version that is). Too bad that even though I am Armenian I still cant make it if my life depended on it.
  7. Hee hee! Everybody, note by the way that I said proper exercise for legs, not ass. I think lunges beat squats in that department. or maybe i just feel that way because lunges are always more challenging for me than are squats. But lunges are also a killer on the knees, which sucks cuz lunges are my number # 1 choice of exercise for lower body. So you all think that properly executed squats are more challenging then a properly executed lunge? Maybe it is my knees then that make the lunge more challenging. Maybe i have crappy knees.
  8. I disagree, and i certainly dont think that dairy is any healthier than soy. But nevertheless, fortunately there are other options like almond milk, etc.
  9. My personal favorite soygurt is from Nancy's. They are from Eugene and can be found at most any natural foods store or co-op. Fred Meyer's may carry it too but I'm not sure... LL, do you think that nancy's is better than Silk? I am not sure that we even have that brand in toronto, so i dont think I could test your theory.
  10. isaac, the best yogurt is by Silk. It hands down beats the other vegan yogurts IMO, and I think this will help you kick that last bit of dairy. Try some.
  11. Welcome isaac! Odidnetne, perhaps this will satiate that desire (but its not raw though): http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/RIPMacDre/4_29_06009.jpg Courteousy of jjaj, and recipe under vegan recipes (scroll down a bit).
  12. I thought cold pressed olive oil was raw?
  13. Will do, thank -you my friend. How is Skeletor these days anyway? Is he up to no good digging manholes in your backyard?
  14. Chris, SO when you were in toronto you were on your honeymoon then? Congrats. Def post pictures! Sorry I couldnt catch up with you guys when you were here.
  15. Congrats Gorrila. You will do a fine job for the earth and animals I am sure!
  16. Welcome from one Torontonian to another almost Torontonian. I grew up in Scarborough. Is that where you are from, or more east?
  17. Rob, can you PLEASE do that like right now? Sorry to sound demanding but he is an injured cat and so this is obviously urgent. It has been a few days now, he is in pain and the bandages need to be changed soon or he couold get a serious infection and die a painful death. Please anybody and everybody, post the action alert about Limpy to and all and other boards you frequent where you may have a toronto audience, and also, if you know anybody in Toronto, please URGENTLY forward them my initial message in this thread. Thanks encruelty for your help with the picture of lil Limpy Kitty.
  18. hey Will, yup that is her site. I have emailed her this link so hopefully she will find it helpful. If she needs any more technical help, I am sure one of you fine gentleman would be more than happy to assist or advise further. And, of course, our animal friends thank you too.
  19. My friend Samantha Carter that runs a website called Action Against Puppy Mills needs some help and needs it fast. When you go to her website there keeps popping up "Puppies for Sale" messages (Oh, the irony! ). She needs to figure out how to stop that, or she may just want to revamp that whole site and she is looking for a kind animal friendly person that would do this since her website is for a good animal rights cause. So, if anybody can help, please email her at actionagainstpupp[email protected] and offer your pro bono computer help for the animals's sake. And thanks very much in advanced. Please also post that you have emailed her here or pm me so I can see if she has received some help.
  20. "Hi there! We rescued a wonderful cat last April. He was homeless and had suffered multiple injuries, the worst of which was a broken front leg. After a month of daily feeding we were finally able to gain his trust and bring him into our home…shortly followed with medical treatment for his leg, an infection in his rear paw, as well as this and that. Over the past month he gained weight and was near to full recovery by which point we were grateful to have found him a trusted home with a very loving couple. (We've been rescuing cats over the last 4 years and have reached our limit within our household). Unfortunately, during his trip to his new home he escaped from his carrier and jumped out of the car (which was fortunately stopped at the time). We are terribly worried `because he is shy, is not familiar with the area, and due to his leg has difficulty in defending himself. Yet it is his bandaged leg which makes him stand out from other cats so we are hoping that if you, or someone from your organization were to hear something about a homeless cat (orange & white fur – about a year old) with a broken leg (his front left leg) who may have been picked up or spotted in the area near the intersection of Bathurst and Eglington, we would really appreciate it if someone might be able to contact us. Our phone number is 416-929-1562 and our e-mail is [email protected] . We would be greatly thankful with any assistance to finding him so please feel free to post this email elsewhere and share it with other likeminded individuals. We have also included this picture of him. Our sincere thanks for taking the time to read our note and any help you may bring to our search. Again – He was lost on Thursday, June 1, in the late afternoon at the North East corner of Eglington and Bathurst (he sprinted to a small, secluded natural area behind a plaza and a small 3 story tenant building). Luck would have it; a woman regularly feeds a number of other homeless cats in the exact same area, so we do hope he may choose to stay in this area. His bandage is white and was changed the night before so at least it'll help protect his leg for at least the following week." I tried to post the pic of Limpy but it didnt work (Editted to add, yes it did now work thanks to endcruelty!). He is an orange and white cat with a bandage on his front broken leg. he has been lost for a few days now, is hungry, in pain, and needs that bandage chaned or it will get infected and he could die a slow painful horrible death. There is a small reward of $100 be offered for this lil guy's safe return. http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/245/limpycat2591vd.jpg[/img]
  21. hmm, ya I thought about hard wood as minimizing dust allergens but then pet hair would be flying all around when I sweep and that might be worse, no?
