  1. You might want to try drinking a good amount distilled water. It detoxifies and usually results in acne free skin. From my experience water makes a big difference for skin health. Also you might want to try taking vitamin E for a more lustrious look. Also vitamin D and vitamin A have a large role in skin health. Getting a really good multivitamin might clear everything up because all vitamins work together in some way to ensure maximum absorbtion.
  2. Well, my nails aren't very strong, they never really have been. They are very flexible, and it's something that has always bothered me. According to internet research, I should have terrible sours and rashes all over my body and my hair should be falling out.........obviously this isn't the case... I would say that the pits are worse on my ring fingers and bad, but not as bad, on my thumb, pinky, and middle finger. The random pits are on my index finger and middle finger.....and sprinkled here and there on other fingers. The horizontal pits on on my pinky, ring finger, and thumb.......It's very strange...I hope someone has figured it out and could share the results. Thanks for the response 9nines!!!! Binks
  3. Hi everyone! For as long as I can remember I have had lots and lots of pits in my nails. I have some that run horizontally across my nails, and some are totally randomly placed. I was wondering if this is a nutritional issue or another health issue I should be aware of. My mother also has some on her nails too, but not as much. I have been a vegetarian my whole life, so I'm wondering if I'm not getting some nutrients I should be. If you all need pictures I can post some....they are on my big toe nails too, but not the little piggies. hehe....thanks! I hope someone can help! Binks
  4. I was wondering how effective vitamins and supplements are when taken all at the same time. If I take, let's say a multivitamin, some calcium, some E, and so on...am I going to be wasting a lot of it because I take them all at once? Or, because some of them absorb differently, am I going to be getting the full (or close to full) benefits of them? Or should I take them throughout the day so my body doesn't get overloaded all at once?
  5. You know a few years ago I stumbled upon the amazing benefits of Yerba Mate, which is a tea I have been drinking ever since then! It is soooo amazing! It orginates from Paraguay and Uraguay, and the call it "The drink of the Gods". I buy ten pound bags of it from the source. Here, I'll post some links about it...I highly reccomend it! Seriously, I love this stuff! Makes me feel great after every cup! http://ma-tea.com/WhatIsIt_Nutrient.asp http://www.noborders.net/mate/ You can order it here! http://guayaki.com/index.php
  6. I'm glad to say that I have been working my butt off...(literally, I hope!) Eating correctly is my biggest challenge, but hopefully I'll start getting into a good groove with that and start seeing a difference! I hope everyone else is doing well!!
  7. I would like to know about this stuff too...good question!
  8. Wow, thanks for all the info! This is exactly what I was looking for! So, if I plan on burning the max amount of stored fat durning my cardio session, I must keep a decent sugar supply to energize my body so it won't burn my muscle. Now, when you do run out of blood sugar, does your body start burning stored bf or does it go for the muscle? I was just reading that your body does burn more calories when you are doing a less intense workout, aka. fat burning zone........but when you go above that to the cardio zone then you beging to burn more calories, which, I guess is the ultimate goal. I do like the idea of sipping a light sugar drink during cardio so that my energy suppyly doesn't run dry! So Thanks for the info 9nines!! Bianca
  9. I heard someone yesterday saying that if you stay within the "fat burning" heart rate zone, then you are actually burning you body fat........and when you are in the "cardio training" heart rate zone, you are burning up your blood fat, or fat that you may have eaten before you worked out.........what I don't understand is the your heart rate is lower in the "fat burning" zone then the "cardio training" zone.........in the cardio, wouldn't you be doing both? Is this whole heart rate thing accurate? Anyone able to explain this? Thanks!!!! Bianca
  10. Absolutely! After a lot of time and hardwork I have learned so much about what the human mind it capable of! It's amazing! What actually got me into it is the idea of past life regression.......so after years of working with people, it definately made a believer out of me! It's really just about the person who is being hypnotised ability to concentrate and relax.......after that, there's not much to it.
  11. Hi Everyone! I'm excited to have found this site, and I hope I can commit to it as much as I'm committing to my health! I've been looking for a site just like this one for a long time! It's very frustrating asking all those meat eaters advice about eating correctly.....they just never understand. But now, I have come into my element and can get some real answers! Looking forward to speaking to all of you! Moo
