  1. dude come on. we (humans) started messing with the dogs and cats natural process a long long time ago, dogs are not "natural" anymore. and don't compare pets with wild animals, that just makes you look stupid and slow, and you know it. organic schmorganic, i am an animal rights advocate, not animal welfare. it's not okay to kill an animal just because it has lived a decent life
  2. good tips. i think i didn't express myself clearly enough. i didn't mean that you SHOULD lower your weights. i simply meant that a lot of people who are in their cutting phase lose strenght and because of that they need to lower their weights. it's not something you should aim for. sorry my english has been kinda crappy since i finished high school.
  3. @billy I like your blog, keep it up!
  4. WHAT?? this statement is so out of bounds. you are imposing a meat diet on your dog as much as he is imposing a vegan one on his. if anyone you are in lack of ethical responsibility.
  5. you don't really need to target different muscles, but you do use different muscles while doing compound excersises. the classics are bench press, squats, lunges, deadlifts, pull/chin ups and dips. i lost fat while increasing my calorie intake, i did hiit 3 times a week, so yeah i think it's fully possible but you won't get super lean or anything.
  6. you might experience decreasing strength, but do compounds, they burn waaaaay more calories than isolation work. i wouldn't change to much, maybe just lower the weights. cardio when cutting often means morning walks (before breakfast), normal walks, some still do the high intensity stuff but most don't. DON'T cut veggies, i would say increase stuff like broccoli, kale, spinach and other greens, otherwise you will walk around feeling hungry most of the time. i wouldn't eat much grains at all really. too little protein, too much carbs. if you do it right, yeah you will mos def loose body fat. good luck
  7. saturated fat is important for the T, so i guess vegans might have a disadvantage from that perspective
  8. That's all...? seriously, is that all? i mean i eat five times as much, at least. a can of beans, that's like 200 calories, in other words, nothing.
  9. to go into cutting means that you try to burn fat. people do it because they want to get more defined, have visible muscles. what happens to the body is simple, you kinda starve it, lightly. but your body often feels like hell and blabla. you do it be decreasing calorie intake, doing more cardio. then in the end of the cutting phase there is a lot of stuff with sodium and water intake, but i can't really go into the specifics there cause i've never done it.
  10. one guy at my old gym, who almost always worked out the same time as me, just walked up to me one day after like 6 months of silence and asked what steroids i took. i was kinda chocked and said i didn't take any and then he got all emotional, cause we started out at the same time and had grown an equal amount but he had spend like 20000kr (that's like 3000 dollars) on roids. he was really upset and i had to comfort him. we acctually still speak sometimes when we see eachother and he is totally juice-free now.
  11. back! a thick and kinda wide one with that special dense look
  12. everytime you work out the body uses glycogen (glucose stored in your muscles) for energy. after a workout the body wants to refill your glycogen and the easiest way to do that is by consuming fast carbs.
  13. not all of the g&b chocolates are fair trade, acctually most of em aren't. i like the "north and sounh fair trade", they are always both organic and fair trade. bonvita's stuff is also good.
  14. haha dude. have you missed the six page long debate about this? watch out, people are gonna get mad and leave the forum.
  15. this might acctually be the biggest thing to happen in vegan fitness history ever! i'm shocked. don't really know what to say. CONGRATS and good luck!
  16. in sweden they don't like potatoes because they have a high glycemic index. if i eat potatoes i do it after my workouts.
  17. carmen has her own striptease dvd. but she isn't really in shape anymore. like t-nation said, her ass looks like sandbags.
  18. I'm don't agree with that. Most people on here that are building muscle are eating quite a lot of protein, and agree that you do need a fair amount for that purpose. I also dont think it's harder to get high amounts of protein being a vegan, even without powders. I eat about 130-170g protein a day without powders. dude, you misunderstood me. i never said it was harder for vegans getting protein, i just said that most vegans don't seem to care about it. on this site high protein diets seems to be more popular, but there are still a lot of people saying ignorant stuff like sir vegansim.
  19. 10 grams seems too low since the body don't absorb 100% of the protein we give it. and yeah i think protein is overrated when it comes to living a "normal" life and maintaining a weight but among vegans it is totally underrated to build muscle. and building muscle is what this guy wants to do
