  2. ahh! lol don't knock the Rock... I was gettin into your music on that link you got, cool stuff btw, when my computer froze up on me and I had to break out the baseball bat and show it who was boss...for reals now I'm really mad. i've been stuck on Faith No More lately for gettin in the workout mood, Angel Dust and Album of the Year, but it normally varies greatly depending on the day/mood.
  3. doesn't everybody? green tea is a given for me, it made a thoughtful gift i thought. lately i've been enjoying yerba mate, the taste is acquired and when you don't do coffee it's a nice change from tea.

I was wondering about this too, during the processing is there some oxidation going on...if so that's not good. there are polyunsaturated oils even in the hemp protein concentrates. The whole seed is better, its just a matter of getting more aminos in you which makes the refined product more convenient, you know more protein/less cals kinda thing. You're right about the flax, it's got to be ground fresh. jus get yourself a coffee grinder and you're set.
  5. thank you all. you really know how to make someone feel right at home. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me, I've kind got some time on my hands lately...major life changes and all kinds of drama goin on in my life. Right now I'm recovering from an injury as well, so I'm kinda gimping around the house. I was starting to feel better so I got back in the gym and everything was fine, even doing squats I had no probs, til yesterday i decided to go for a run, anyways, bad choice. Glad to be here, my kinda people.
  6. that would be no. hemp protein is good stuff, I think the stuff I got is called Holy Hemp or something. Anyways, I gotta mix it with o.j. to kill the taste also I mix in some SPI cuz it can cause a little upset esp. on an empty stomach.

  9. Hey peoples, just want to be bold and introduce myself...get the first impression off on the right foot. It's all about the entrance tho isn't it...I've checked out the site a few times and am very impressed with y'alls. Happy to make your acquaintance and looking forward to making some friends! ...if anyone can help with avatars and photos and stuff, I had a rough time getting it to go, any thoughts are appreciated. I'm confused as to the black bar under mine and how to fix it. I dunno what that light is over my head either, halo maybe? Yeah right...
  10. rock on brutha...you're making some smart moves, keep it up. what kind of protein are you getting? I know when I first made the switch 4 years ago I had a serious lack of energy, til I figured it out. lately I make sure to get around 200-300 g. of protein daily - mostly from soy protein isolate, rice and hemp protein. just trying to save you some grief and keep you from getting discouraged, it can be a rough adjustment at first for some. This is my first post here too, seems like there's lots of cool people around here, very kind individuals from what I see.
