  1. Yeah I agree also. Many of the regular users from back then are gone which is a shame, including losing potter, because it's not like he just posted arguments and attacks 100% of the time, it had just become too regular. When he wasn't involved in those conflicts, his contributions were really good. Potter wasn't banned for one specific outrageous incident, rather he was regularly attacking people, or posting replies to other posts which seemed out of proportion, even if he was right in what he was saying, it was often put across in an overly aggressive / argumentative way.
  2. I'm interested to help son, but not sure I can do much to affect amazon.com from this country?
  3. I'm interested to know what you think Jupiter is made up of, if it isn't gas? It may have a solid core, but that would be only a small percentage of its total mass. Gas has mass, and is affected by gravity, and can be in orbit.
  4. I think everyone agrees that you should take a B12 supplement, whether that's in a pill, or with fortified foods, so that you're getting your RDA. I've known vegans who didn't realise this, who got ill and had to have injections, because they weren't getting it from the plant foods they were eating. I've been vegan for about 10 years, had no B12 problems.
  5. Okay, back from the dead. I've dug this up so new members know who I am and that I'm a real person who can be contacted, not just a faceless admin. I've been connected with the forum for years now, and you can reach me by sending a private message, or e-mailing me at [email protected] and I'll get back to you surprisingly quick, since I do check my e-mails at least twice a day generally. I've been busy with a few things, moved to a new town, moved into a new house, and now working on the veganbodybuilding.com website. Also been working on other websites, and my music, whilst making time to actually go to work at the animal sanctuary. Not making excuses, just saying that's what's up, and why I've not been so active on the site as I used to be when I first started, since I had no job, or any other commitments, so I could pretty much devote all my time to this. But the forum and site are very important to me, one of the most important things in my life in fact, so I don't want to slip away or let anybody down. I also cleared Bayonetta the other day, and will start on Dead Space 2 in a few days
  6. yeah I've been up on this game but it does my head in how Gene is not going to be in it, he was made for this game!!
  7. Hey everyone, First of all, sorry for my prolonged absence from the forum again. I was pretty active a few months ago, then kind of dropped off and I should have been on top of it, that's totally my fault. Secondly, if anybody has any problems with an individual or a thread, they can contact me directly, and I will always check it out and get back to you, or post in the thread. I know that's not any of your jobs, to look through the site and report on stuff, but I'm just saying that if you're frustrated, you can get hold of me and I'll do my best to resolve the situation. Regarding crazy posts, I don't really know what to do about it. While there might be lots of points of view that I think are definitely wrong, or have no basis in science or logic, I am not sure about deleting or banning people for posting those things. But maybe I just haven't been aware of the situation if there are people clogging up the forum with BS and just hammering the same line over and over, I can see how that would be irritating, and as others have said, if those things go unchallenged, it can be misleading. I can also see how it can be tiring to keep seeing something you think is wrong, and therefore have to correct to make sure it has been dealt with. So just get in contact with me and tell me, and I will see if I can put a stop to it. I've been working on the new website, which hopefully will at least be running soon, and I'll try harder to be on top of things in the forum as well. But please, don't hesitate to contact me for any reason, and I treat any message I get with confidence and respect, I wouldn't repeat anything on the forum or to anybody.
  8. Yeah, also convinced about 4 non-vegans to check it out too Seems like the menu is very different in every location, so I don't know what you'd find in America. One of the things I really love about it, other than it being vegan, is that it's just fun food. So many vegan / vege places that I've seen have such boring stuff. I dunno, maybe I am just a terrible eater, or childish in my tastes, but it's like people seem to think that vegans just eat nut roasts, mushroom soup and lentils or something. This kind of food isn't available anywhere else, for me at least. So it's just awesome to go there from time to time.
  9. yeah - it's not healthy at all, just great tasting. Of course you could go in and eat the salad, but it's not the point of the place, it's to enjoy some tasty food. I've started to go from time to time when I get the opportunity, but I wouldn't go regularly because I'd get fat real quick! Chewy - this one is in Norwich, I think there are a couple in London and one in Brighton. Not sure about Scotland though Octo - You can buy the fish from the frozen section too, though they were sold out today. I'll check it out sometime when I go later in the year and give you the ingredients, but it's a processed thing, not sure it could be done in a regular kitchen. I remember when I bought some frozen before that I was surprised at how few ingredients there were though.
  10. What? Okay I haven't posted in here for a while, but I have been training. Same basic stuff, though now I am incorporating martial arts, and it's good for cardio since I hate all other forms of cardio basically. Slacked off over christmas, but am back on it again. Especially working on my left leg to get some combination kicks going. Also learnt an entirely new kick for me, which is a hop-turn-sidekick off the front foot. I've always done that off the back foot, so this involves hopping 360 rather than just 180. Will post more soon, perhaps a video
  11. And I ate too much food. It's fucking tasty, seriously! Vegan fish and chips, can't be beaten. El had steak and chips, and I also ordered a buffet, so we had prawn crackers, noodles, spring rolls, and spicy tofu things. I love it, I wish I could have it every day. Really cheap as well. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs262.snc6/179016_10150135410669874_627929873_7749649_6458223_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs250.snc6/179856_10150135410704874_627929873_7749650_5163298_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs782.ash1/167292_10150135410794874_627929873_7749653_6527960_n.jpg http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs892.ash1/180076_10150135410894874_627929873_7749656_3257928_n.jpg http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs782.ash1/167200_10150135410829874_627929873_7749654_7365931_n.jpg http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs888.ash1/179616_10150135410494874_627929873_7749642_7503583_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs794.ash1/168420_10150135410569874_627929873_7749644_3659100_n.jpg http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs277.snc6/180532_10150135410614874_627929873_7749646_7308679_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs062.snc6/167292_10150135410644874_627929873_7749647_2517305_n.jpg

  13. Hey good stuff! Will post before photos this week. Got 2 weeks off work, let's do this.
  14. Honey is very easy to live without, and by comparison, as you say, living 100% organic and without car tires is very hard. That is why you presumably have people telling you to stop eating honey, since it's as simple as that, whilst the things you compare it to are not. I don't think you should worry about what other people are doing, or not doing, there's no need to compare yourself to them, you should do what you think is right.
  15. Well I think the point is that if bees face extinction, then we would be screwed without them, therefore we would need to maintain their population.
  16. Presumably it's possible to keep bees without stealing their honey. If it is a matter of money, and if it's a necessity to keep bees in order to keep the species alive, then it should be subsidized by the government. To not buy honey is a non-action, I don't think a person can be to blame for it. So to say "by not buying honey..." is to say that you should buy a certain quantity, how much is expected etc?
  17. Hahaha, those death metal covers are awesomeness
  18. Horse, you're not nearly vegan enough, please e-mail me your certificate so I can cremate it
  19. Yeah, that is a good one. I work with cows and pigs in my job, and I know for real that a pig or a cow would win vs an unarmed human. It's bad enough sometimes when I'm just trying to feed them or clean their shelters, they still could easily kill me, let alone if I was actually trying to have a fight.
