  1. Do inclines (see http://exrx.net/WeightExercises/RectusAbdominis/WtInclineSitUp.html ) If you can do 25 of those easily then try it whild holding a 5 pound weight on your upper chest. If you can do 25 easily that way, go up to a 10 pound weight. Keep adding 5 pounds every time yo ucan do 25
  2. The link shows that there are lots of tech job openings where I work. They are always looking for people with good computer/engineering skills there
  3. What about flash developers Potter, do they have opportunities? They just paid an artist who develops flah pages pretty well to come up with this http://www.stpt.usf.edu/flash/default.asp
  4. I used to inject it into the glutes too, but now I shoot the spirulina straight into my biceps then go around flexing. You can't beat the pump you get from that
  5. Jay USF had 100% job placement for civil eng graduates last year. I'm not sure what it's like in other departments. I had to stop studying engineering though because I ran out of money and had to start working more hours. It's a shame because I really like structural engineering and was making almost all A's, but that's just the way it is. So I now I work 2 jobs at USF instead of studying - tutoring math and doing database work. They are always hiring computer people here see http://usfweb2.usf.edu/HR/Employment/CareerOpportunities.html look at A&P and USPS positions there are probably a dozen or so openings for compsci people ranging from tech to application developer. On the other hand, I would probably be making more money now if I never bothered with college and just enrolled in an apprentice program as an electrician or plumber right after high school... but its too late for that now
  6. Incline crunches put more pressure on your back if your abs aren't developed enough for them. If this is the case then try holding a dumbbell on your upper chest and do flat bench crunches. Increase the weight and build up, then switch to inclines when you can flat bench crunch with 25 extra pounds
  7. You'd have to be on gear to look the way Arnold did during his peak, there is no way around it. But it is possible to get the body of a great bodybuilder without gear. Do a search for "golden age of bodybuilding" and you can see pictures of the old bodybuilders from before steroids were used. A lot of them had really powerful physiques even by today's standards.
  8. Arnold took roids. Bill Pearl was pretty big and drug-free at his peak. He's vegetarian too
  9. I usually eat a handful of nuts before a workout
  10. Awesome That's my favorite lower body exercise
  11. He's a definitely a beast. I think Cutler beat Colemen on lower body. I have a lot of respect for how hard those guys work but at the same time I don't really understand bodybuilding at that level. I'm more a fan of the Reg Park / Bill Pearl era ideals
  12. You're still cut. I was expecting you to get fat! It looks like you gained size in shoulders and back
  13. rheumatic.org looks like it's basically a mouthpiece for Dr. Mercola propaganda. Mercola promotes ideas that have not been proven scientifically nor accepted by the conventional medical community. I think the American Dietetic Association eatright.org is a better source of information
  14. Vegetarianism is pretty common at Montessori schools and they are all over the world
  15. He drives a hydrogen fuel cell powered Hummer http://www.forbes.com/vehicles/2005/01/04/cx_dl_0104vow.html
  16. I don't know of anything else that builds lats like pullups. You can get a pullup bar that installs in a doorway for about $15. Or do them off a tree branch, or on the monkey bars at a playground.
  17. I alternate between intensity (3-7 reps) and volume (12-18 reps). A lot of times I'll do a set with a high intensity, then lower the weight do a set of volume. This has worked well for building muscle
  18. Welcome! I would add pullups on Monday and deadlifts on Thursday
  19. Try doing them with your hands on a scale. When I do pushups slow I have to exert a force around 65-70% of bodyweight throughout the rep, from floor to full extension and back down again. If I do pushups really fast, the force initially exerted can actually go above my bodyweight depending on how fast, and there is almost no force exerted after the initial push at the bottom. If you get the chance to try it on a scale, post it here. I'm curious to see what other people get.
  20. I train back harder because pulling exercises are my favorite. But I've been pushing myself on chest and tris more lately
  21. Lots of nuts, beans, and oatmeal. That's the trick to gaining weight
  22. I'm not a big fan of the Smith machine. I like dumbbells the best because you can go heavy without a partner and have less risk of injury, and you use more stabilizers and other muscles when you use dumbbells
  23. Good stuff. I agree with the parts about SHAC and oysters
  24. Soy milk has more protein. Rice and almond milks are higher in carbs and lower in protein I usually drink soy
