  1. Hi. I am an almost 44 year old mother of 3 children,ages 6,13, and 16. I have been mostly vegan (with the occasional lapse of ice cream and fettucine) for about 9 years. I have been a runner for 14 years and used to eating as much as I wanted. But, when I hit 40, all of a sudden I couldn't keep the weight off like before. My brother-in-law suggested I shake up my workout routine with P90-X for 3 months to see if that might jump start my weight loss. My 13 year old son wanted to do it with me as he had watched the dvd's and wanted to convert his chub into muscle. We are having fun with the workouts, but the higher protein nutrition part is giving me trouble. My son is just starting to hit his growth spurt. I want to make sure that he is getting all the nutrition he needs to grow, while he thinks he needs to lose a few pounds. I would like to find a plan for him to follow that will meet his needs. I, on the other hand, am trying to lose 15 lbs. and build lean muscle. I would like to find a plan that will help me achieve that goal; especially, losing belly fat. I would appreciate any guidance. (My son keeps to a mainly vegan diet also.)
