I'm John from Toronto, Ontario, Canada ..26 years old I've been a vegetarian for the past 10 years, and recently decided to kick it up a notch and become vegan (about 6 months ago). That switch has been amazing for me! I lost about 15 pounds without even trying, shortly after becoming vegan. It took some getting used to... as far as knowing which foods were vegan.. like I had no idea regular margarine had whey in it. But now I've developed a bit of an intuition for which foods contain dairy. I'm 6'4" at 195 pounds with a medium build. I hit the gym at least 4 days a week... don't really have any real fitness goals at the moment.. just being active and persistent. Aside from the gym, I plan on doing a lot of biking and swimming this summer.. and take some hot yoga/meditation classes. I decided to sign up to this site because I like supporting and being apart of anything vegan/vegetarian, and to talk with other vegans (i.e. you guys) .. and maybe kill some time cheers!
