BlueRose's pics! Come see the insanity!
julia replied to BlueRose's topic in Before/After Photos & Progress Photos & Videos
Yes, I have the "joy" of being an hourglass as well However, although I always thought I'm simply meant to weigh a bit more and to have some fat around my hips, I'm seeing a progress and continue to go on And it's obviously working for you as well.. -

You look great! Great progress! -
I was wondering what you're listening to when being active? I'll start with this song: Mr. Brightside - The Killers

I have oatmeal for breakfast nearly every day. I soak the oat, and some sunflower seeds over night, then rinse them the next morning. I might add some dates, some maple syrup, or any kind of fruit..

confusion - calories or carbs/fats/protein
julia replied to julia's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
Thanks a lot for the help! -
So I've always been taught, that basically the only thing that matters when trying to lose weight (as in losing fat) is that your calorie intake is below what you burn throught the day. However I've also heard that it's about what you eat.. How much fat/protein/carbs you eat.. It's confusing to me. Are both theories correct, or is the whole system so complex that I can't be put that easily.. Does anybody know more about it and is willing to share their knowledge with me?

how do you get the "sticking" power of eggs without eggs? :)
julia replied to endcruelty's topic in Vegan Recipes
I never use any kind of replacement for potato dumplings or gnocchi. All they consist of are cooked potatoes (there's special potatoes for dumplings.. if they're available in your are use those!), and potato starch. It's also important that the water is boiling when you put the dumplings/gnocchi in.. And salting the water is also a good idea. -
Aw Thanks for the nice words from everyone! So far I haven't been a good addition, I'm afraid. I haven't shared much useful information, but I plan on sharing some recipes in the future.

Yep, I know. I've been to Sweden twice (vacation) and tried to learn myself Swedish with books etc. I'm still reading a Swedish book every now and then, but I don't practice it that much any more..
-
Haha, nope I had no idea that my Swedish is that awful that it would pass as google translate As I said (or at least tried to ).. I don't speak it well (especially in a non-written way), but I understand quite a lot
-
Men jag kan prata ditt språk Eller förstår åtminstone.. Oj.. Det är så långt sedan jag pratade svenska sista tiden.. Har kanske glömt nästan allting

Already lost some fat and gained some muscle, but want to keep going in that direction.. 130 lbs

So after a few weeks of reading posts on this forum without being a member I decided to finally join this forum I'm 18 years old, female, and live in Vienna/Austria/Europe. I've been very active as a child, than spent some years being lazy, and am now trying to become fit. I mostly do running and cycling, but I like almost every kind of sport. I plan on joining a gym this winter and maybe start training with weights then. But we'll see.. Right now I'm more concerned about fitness than building muscles. ATM I'm 130 lbs (59kg), being 5'6" (168 cm). Last autumn I've been up to 145 lbs (65 kg). I want to decrease my body fat a bit and tone my abs and biceps mostly. The pictures of each and every member have been an inspiration to me, and I love to read about training techniques, nutrition etc. So I'm really excited to be here
