  1. thanks....how do i re-size a picture? haha. by the way, you live in an amazing place:):) i lived in IB for a year and a half and stayed with friend in OB for a month this past winter for a visit.
  2. hi, how do i post a picture for my avatar?
  3. Hi again, thanks for all the great replies. I eat a lot of tofu and drink soy milk so I ordered some 50/50 blend of pea and rice protein from True protein today after reading posts saying good things about the company/product. I live outside the US so with shipping it wasnt as cheap as it would have been for someone living in the US [shipping was the same price as the 6 lbs of protien i ordered] I picked premium peanut butter and jam flavour...hopefully it is tasty, I had a hard time deciding on what flavour. I may buy a small one pound tub of soy protein isolate to switch things up. I currenly have some hemp protein that I mix in with my oatmeal breakfast. I eat beans and lentils of all sorts and eat peanut butter and walnuts/cashews/almonds daily. I eat very healthy but and now looking to gain some muscle and started lifting weights and wanted to up my protein intake to 1:1 or more with my body weight without increasing carbs further as I eat a lot of rice, quinoa, sweet potatoes and fruits so I wanted to have some powder to up the protein without upping the carbohydrates.
  4. Hi, I am considering a soy isolate protein powder to supplement my food sources of protein and was thinking of soy protein isolate because it is fairly cheap and I don't have any food tolerances/allergies to it. However, I have heard some negative things about soy and was wondering; is soy protein isolate not good/bad choice and for what reasons?

  6. Yes, I think I will start eating MORE tofu, I love the stuff anyways, seitan, I have heard isnt the best quality of protein and I'm still unsure if it is agreeable with my body and I havent found anywhere to buy it where I live. Thank you for your suggestions.
  7. Hi, I have worked out my daily calories to be approximately 2200 for my goals and the macro-nutrient percentages work out to be: 33% protein, 25% fats and 42% carbohydrates. I have no problem reaching the intended calories for the day but I can't seem to get the right percentages of protein and carbohydrates, I find I am always high in carbohydrates to protein because I cant think of any vegan food that is high in protein without the carbs. I am trying to get the majority of my nourishment from whole foods as opposed to supplements so I try for only one protein shake a day, sometimes two. I'm trying to reach 181 grams protein, 234 grams carbohydrates and 62 grams of fats. Can anyone help me out with suggestions or a meal plan that fits these figures???
